Ex Wife - Identity Theft/Fraud
After years of financial abuse and identity theft by my husband’s ex wife resulting in copious amounts of debt, loans, phone contracts etc the list goes on and not knowing where to start, the staff here have reached out and as I type this are still working on things as are the other credit agencies. Thank you so much as honestly it has just been horrendous and without these companies god only knows what people could get away with! Albeit she already has !!! She should be locked up for the fraud she has committed and I guess still is!

Great service
I had to use this service to secure a mortgage. It was very easy to use and the questions for the validation were easily answered. All done in a few minutes and the report was very detailed and clear.

Disappointing refund policy
They offer a short free trial and then automatically charge £14.99 per month. What I found particularly disappointing is their refund policy. Unlike many other subscription businesses, they refused to provide a refund even though I cancelled on the very first day after the trial ended. They just try to earn when you forget to cancel.

We do our best to ensure that all customers signing up for Checkmyfile are aware of our subscription charge and the length of our free trial.
This is outlined on the registration page, when you enter your card details and in our terms of use. We also include the due date for the first subscription payment in our Welcome email.
We allow all customers to cancel during their free trial period and still use their remaining trial days, to prevent anyone who just wants to use the free trial from seeing an unwanted payment debited.
That having been said, our team does its best to treat all refund requests fairly and offer help where we can, and I'm sorry to hear that this hasn't been your experience.

Checkmyfile got back to mI was very angry and upset with my bank but I spoke an American gentleman who was very understanding and helpful. He was able to sort my request and made me feel a lot better.
