Used Barking Mad for the second time to take our dog to and from the vets at Newcastle from Houghton. Price for the pet taxi was excellent value. Roy who took us was friendly and collected us on time and picked up from the vets on time. I would definitely recommend them.

Our local Barking Mad manager, Lindsey, couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Spent time getting to know every detail of our pup’s routine/likes/dislikes and has matched him with the most amazing hosts, our holidays are so much better knowing he is having the best time too. This is a wonderful service, gives us complete peace of mind.

Our hosts and Tracy were absolutely superb when we were on holiday and one of our dogs was taken ill. They kept us informed and liaised with our Veterinary and took our elderly girl to the vets and videoed called us from the consultation. The Barking Mad team were without doubt exceptional and we were so grateful for all their love and care which shone through.

We cannot fault the care and service of the Scottish branch. We had been let down for our dogs care. Richard moved heaven and earth to help us, he came and assessed Lotties character, she went for her trial and came home a very happy dog, we had no worries when we went on holiday. Lottie was well cared for by wonderful dog sitters. Highly recommend as I will certainly be using Barking Mad again. Thank you Richard and your amazing dog sitters.

We have used Barking Mad since 2019 and they always do a great job in matching Pippa with excellent boarders. Receiving the photos and videos gives us peace of mind that Pippa is being well looked after and we would have no hesitation in recommending Barking Mad to anyone looking for a boarder to look after their dog.

Donna went out of her way to get Milo and I set up with very short notice and managed to find some fantastic hosts who were able to take Milo within a week of us signing up.

We love Roy and Barking Mad. Bailey loves his holidays, he is always so happy when he comes home and I love the photo updates and communication from initial requests, collection and drop off - if you need cover for holidays / work trips / house moves give Roy a shout.

Bertie’s usual host (who we suspect he secretly wishes was his actual family! 😂) was away on the dates we needed, so we spoke to Allie, who had already found another lovely host for him.

Naturally, we were a little apprehensive, as Bertie is absolutely obsessed with his usual host family, so we weren’t quite sure how he’d feel about staying somewhere different.

As it turned out, we needn’t have worried at all! Bertie had an amazing time, was thoroughly spoilt rotten, and came home a very happy dog after his own little holiday.

Allie just has a real understanding of dogs and their individual needs, personalities and who they’ll be happiest with. That’s what makes all the difference.

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Barking Mad. The care they provide is second to none, and their commitment to making sure every dog is happy, loved and well looked after is absolutely evident.

Avoid.I Told them about my dog wee issue and was assured he would be fine and that they had suitable people to care for him. 2 days into the holiday the carer didn't want the dog anymore because of his weeing However stated the previous day the dog was fine and no issues they said the dog kept weeing and had a wee on the sofa however the same morning / previous days had my dog sleeping on it . Ben (Midlands branch) was very unhelpful with finding other options and basically wanted us (were away in a different country) to sort something and that our dog needed to be collected today and one of our emergency contacts will have to have him. The whole point we paid for this service was because our emergency contact can’t give our the best care. Ben was not helpful in finding other options. Ben also tried putting the responsibility of finding somewhere on my emergency contact. This whole situation has left my family uneasy and upset. Thankfully my emergency contact will look after my dog however if i didn't have this person what would happened to my dog ? Because Ben wasnt finding anywhere else for my dog. I would of understood the situation if I hadn’t told them about my dog wee issue but i did.
