We were seen prior to a possible cataract operation for my husband. However, my husband has other eye issues and so we received detailed information on the condition of his eyes and our options and things to consider overall. The gentleman took his time to give us sufficient advice and information to enable us to make a decision.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Priscilla Cunningham. She was extremely professional, friendly, and conducted a very thorough examination. She took the time to answer all of my questions clearly, making me feel completely at ease. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for excellent eye care!

A very pleasant atmosphere there. All the staff very welcoming and warm. I saw Katie for my appointment, and a charming , lovely person indeed . She was very reassuring , and made the entire process calm and relaxed. Thank you Katie 😄

I have been with Rawlings for many years, and I have never been disappointed.
The service is excellent and punctual. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes, and the Opticians are professional and explain/discuss everything in great detail, including any next steps, with the patient.
If there is a problem, they inform the NHS within 24 hours so it can be further investigated.
The frames for new glasses or sunglasses are pretty and fit amazingly well. The longest I have ever waited for new glasses or contact lenses was about a week.

The staff at Hedge End are all very welcoming and helpful. Simon who did my eye test is always excellent. He explains everything so well. Overall, it's a pleasure to attend the store because you feel they all really care about their customers.

Have known Simon for many years and he is always thorough and professional at all his appointments.

Environment was clean and comfortable, and Simon's test equipment looked well maintained.

The staff are all very friendly and clearly very knowledgeable, the reception area is clean and pleasant, the receptionist welcoming.
The contact lens and glasses appointments are very thorough, with opticians who are dedicated to client care and getting information and prescriptions absolutely correct.
Pricing: This level of service does come at a premium, appointments are at the higher end of 'competitive' and as a 'practice plan' member I do find myself annually doing the calculations to decide whether it's value for money.
Frames and lenses are equally priced towards the top end of the competitive pricing bracket, for this reason I do tend to take my prescription elsewhere to purchase glasses, staff are aware of this and this decision process is never frowned upon, there is equally no 'hard sell' by staff in store.
Due to the level of care and perceived benefits I am still happy to remain on the practice plan and remain a customer; I justify the cost as money well spent for the quality of care, attention, and service I get from the team and believe that my ongoing relationship with both the broader business and branch is worth the investment.

Everybody in the practice was amazing, I felt very comfortable and the test was thorough and I felt very happy with the outcome.

Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. The eye tests are very thorough and sufficient time is made available to give your eyes a complete examination.

The staff here are excellent. They were patient while I chose my glasses and explained the different options to me really well when I wasn't sure what I wanted. The quality of the glasses are great too.

Supportive, informative amd kind

I have to say I am disappointed in the hearing aids , which I paid a lot of money for. Going back in time, I have always had problems with the left ear tip staying in the ear. Then,when I had a re-check I had to have the the aids boosted and was given new Widex ear-tips which were bigger and have also continually come out of my ears. My last visit was to have new moulded ear fittings for my ears and when they came, Bill could not fit the inserts into them and said that they would have to be sent back. I still have no date for this or appointment arranged. On top of this, my existing right hearing isn't charging and Bill stated that it was still under guarantee and would have to be sent back . No appointment was suggested or made for this. In the past I have made comment to Ryan, I think, that I can't bend the hearing aid tubing to be more discrete and I have not been able to resolve this.
Having said all this, I have found Bill and Ryan and the lady who did the ear syringing punctual, very courteous but not always proactive in helping to set up future appointments as necessary. Also the staff on the front desk are always very pleasant and helpful.

They only have on hearing specialist over 5 shops so I have to wait 2 weeks to get and appointment with him with only one hearing aid working helpful offering other areas to get an appointment but to far away from me to travel

Suffering from severe earache, I was able to book an appointment at extreme short notice for wax removal. The lady who helped me was lovely to my daughter and I, and my daughter said she actually found it very interesting! Thanks so much. NW, Stockbridge, 11/07/2026
