Really good selection of coffees for varying budgets and tastes. Their subscription service is reliable and is easy to manage (add, pause, delay) through their website. Helpful guides and cards with subscriptions is a welcome bonus.
I particularly enjoy their 'Rare' range of lightly roasted beans which offer something unique.

Maybe I was unlucky but my first experience of Rave Coffee was not a good one. I was at the Hampton Court Palace Food Festival yesterday (29 Aug) and I bought a cup of Rave's decaff Americano. I was heading back to Henry VIII's Kitchens but, fair enough, was not allowed to take drinks into the building. No problem I thought, I'll drink it now. 3 sips and I threw it into the Rave Coffee rubbish bin. It was VERY weak and pretty tasteless. There was no way I could bare to drink it. A complete waste of £4.30. Needless to say, when I was there today, I avoided the Rave Coffee stand.
Coffee from Rave is advertised as being freshly roasted. I would question this. I've bought two lots of coffee from them and neither seem to be fresh roasted. When ground and placed into a V60, I would expect the coffee to bloom or offgas for a good few seconds. There is however no bloom at all. This would suggest to me that it has been roasted for a while and is not as fresh as it could be.
It seems this company thank people for leaving these less than good reviews and invite them to get in touch so they can 'sort it out'. I would say don't use your customers as quality controllers, that's your job. I'm voting with my wallet, and will cross Rave off my list of preferred roasters, and look elsewhere. Other roasters supply excellent coffee, which blooms when brewed and has obviously just been roasted.

Can across this company by chance by Googling Monsooned Malabar beans. Second order just placed as the first kg has been used in record time. Have tried MM beans from various sources, non compare with No 53 blend from Rave.

Switched to bean-to-cup coffee relatively recently, so I started out with the usual supermarket brands like Taylor's and Lavazza while I got used to things. As I got more confident and moved into slightly pricier blends, I realised there was far more choice at that price point than the supermarket shelf shows, so I went looking for a good UK roaster and found Rave.
So glad I did. The Signature blend has real depth and character, streets ahead of the supermarket blends I started with. Consistent quality cup after cup and exactly what I was after. Signing up as a subscriber, highly recommend if you're looking to step up from supermarket beans.

Starting to go downhill
This is the 2nd issue in 2 months.
I received a mail on 7th Aug saying my coffee was ready for delivery on 10th Aug - nothing arrived on the 10th so checked website and it said delivered. Called help desk and it hasn’t even begun to be roasted.
Was a great company…….maybe just growing too fast and can no longer cope.
Cannot recommend any more and will give them a couple of days to get my order then I’m leaving to find another more reliable provider. Real shame as good coffee but there are more “roast and send” companies appearing now, so will give them a try.

I really like everything about this brand. The coffee tastes great which is the main thing, but the brand, merchandise, bright colours etc, all really nice. And customer service is brilliant, cannot complain at all!

Coffee is still brilliant but recently the service has been poor, there wass a price hike due to the cost of living crisis and since then it seems like they have been cutting corners, it used to be 24hrs from your order renewing to you recieving the delivery but for my last 3 orders its been over a week, my latest one Rave told me had been processed on the 15th but as of today 20th the parcel still item still isn't with Royal Mail and no tracking is avaliable. It is no longer reliable to be able to rely on which is such a shame as the product is overall good

I previously bought one of Rave’s blends and was really impressed, so I was excited to try my first single-origin coffee from them. Unfortunately, this bag was a real disappointment.
The beans tasted dull and lifeless, with very little aroma or sweetness. Instead of the vibrant, distinctive flavours I’d expect from a single origin, the coffee came across as flat and almost stale. I tried adjusting my grind size and brew recipe, but nothing seemed to bring the coffee to life.
I’m hoping I was just unlucky with this particular batch because my previous experience with Rave was much better. Sadly, this coffee didn’t live up to my expectations, especially for a single-origin offering.

I recently ordered three different bags of coffee from RAW Coffee. I’ve only tried one so far, but I’m really impressed and can’t wait to try the other two.
After placing my order, I had a couple of questions, so I sent them an email. Lily replied within half an hour, answered all of my questions clearly, and was incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s rare to receive such quick and personal customer service these days, and it really gave me confidence in choosing RAW Coffee.
Based on my experience so far, I would definitely recommend RAW Coffee. Excellent customer service and a company that genuinely cares about its customers.

Great coffee for starters!
Also, unlike most companies, when I send an email asking a question, you get a reply. Not just a generic reply either, a real person has taken the time to read my question and give an informative, friendly, useful response.
Website is easy to use too.

Good beans but poor customer service in my opinion. The marketing is very slick and sets high expectations but in real life, the actual experience falls short.

have been a loyal Rave Coffee subscriber for 4 years now, and they never disappoint.
Monsoon Malabar is my absolute stock favourite—the quality and freshness of the beans are always spot on.
Managing the subscription is incredibly easy whenever I need to pause or change an order. Plus, their rewards system is a fantastic. Every now and then you get £25 to spend on trying different coffee. Last time a I got some Airscape coffee containers!
On top of the brilliant coffee and value, the staff are always highly responsive and friendly. Highly recommended!

I recently purchased a La Marzocco Linea Mini (which is an incredible machine), and wanted to seek out the best beans. I first tried a few bags from local coffee shops, which were good, but not that good. I then found Rave, and spoke to a delightful member of their staff called Lily who patiently listened to my waffle and recommended the Signature Blend No. 1. Folks, this is the most delicious coffee I've ever had. I've just finished my second latte and I normally only have a single cup. 10/10. In sum, this is the most incredible coffee by a fantastic company (they run on sustainable electricity, pay 1% of sales towards environmental causes, and support independent farmers). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I don't think we will ever buy anything else!
Purchased a small bag to try after reading some great reviews and wow impressive, Fudge blend no. 5 ⭐
I've recommended to colleagues at work who have now also purchased and rated very highly.
Ordered an extra bag for father's day as he is a coffee lover - big time. I'm sure he'll be hooked and this time I'll use the referral scheme 🙂

Fab company! Lovely coffee. Had a problem with an order I needed to cancel and I was refunded in five minutes!

I ordered 1kg of Rave Signature Blend No.1 ground for "Filter/Stove top/AeroPress".
My main brewing method is pour-over filter coffee. Unfortunately, the grind size was far too fine for filter brewing. A typical V60 brew that should take around 3–4 minutes was taking close to 10 minutes to draw down, resulting in over-extracted and unpleasant coffee.
In my opinion, combining Filter, Stove top and AeroPress into a single grind setting is misleading, as each brewing method requires a significantly different grind size. A compromise grind may work reasonably for some methods, but it clearly did not work for filter coffee in my case.
What disappointed me further was that I left feedback about this issue and received no response.
The coffee itself may be good, but customers ordering coffee for filter brewing should be aware that the supplied grind may not be suitable for a proper pour-over experience.

Despite spending £204 on their website, my order hasn’t turned up. No correspondence for days. Terrible experience, avoid, buy elsewhere

Just came on here to review Rave Coffee, then saw some bad reviews. Not sure how that is possible!
A mate that knows coffee put me on to them. I had some signature blend sent out to me the very next day for only a little bit more than the Tesco Finest I was using. It is lovely lovely coffee.
I put a second order in for a vacuum tin, then saw the caps, I messaged them on Whatsapp and they added the hat in and even retro applied the 10% second order offer to the hat.
Melissa was very friendly, quick and the coffee is beautiful. I will definitely be coming back for more coffee and possibly more goodies! Many thanks!
