Very high stress to transactions ratio
The amount of stress this bank causes relative to the number of transactions I have in my account is shocking: blocked regular card payments; blocked one off outgoing transactions; blocked incoming international payments, even when these have been paid previously; phone calls after 5pm saying unless I respond by the next day, an incoming payment will be sent back. I've even had to move money out of Starling to another bank account to make payments from there, since I couldn't pay direct from Starling without a payment review, which is ridiculous.
The answer is always the same 'as a regulated bank, from time to time we have to review payments...' but I have two other UK bank accounts where none of this is a problem. The issue seems to be an incompetent team or non-functional technology working on reviewing payments, but really things should be better.
The app is irritating too since you can set it to open without password identification (fingerprint) but then it will occasionally ask you for a password to make a payment - which of course you will have forgotten since the point of the fingerprint technology is to avoid using a password.

Good communications, very useful app, easy verification of payments. Altogether easy to manage your money and cards. Interest rates on savings could be a bit higher.
