I ordered a thick photobook 30x30 and the quality was exceptional as usual. The one thing that I don't like is the online designer. I found it really difficult to create 12pt font captions underneath my pictures without the designer converting the into big headlines and rearranging my page. Sometimes it would revert back to my old layout and give me the 12pt caption but other times it wouldn't do that at all - even if I deleted the photos and started again. I don't know if it was something I was doing wrong or if it is better to use the downloadable software. But other than this, 5 stars and I would recommend this company to anyone wanted large format or photobooks.

Nice print quality, with some defects on some pages. I was particulary disappointed with the one I gifted to my parents, there was some color detached on one of the photos they really liked.

I've also ordered other books but they all have a bit of defects here in there, overall good quality/price ratio

Got a voucher from Facebook for £100 for a professional line photo book. After submitting photos, the first hardcover one arrived. While the quality was superb, there were issues with the photos. Some were cut off and people’s heads were cut off. After raising this, the company asked me to resubmit my photos and promptly sent me a new book, although soft cover. This, in my opinion was far greater quality than than the last. The photos are so clear and the print quality is outstanding. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone interested.

I am extremely satisfied with the quality of the prints, they exceeded my expectations! The colors are vibrant, the details are sharp, and everything looks very professional. I was also impressed by how fast the shipping was; my order arrived much sooner than expected.

Your service is great. I liked how you have managed templates to adjust the pictures instantly. In my case, I find it a little bit weird in the combination of the cover of the photo book and the outer layer, however i chose it. But a part from that the quality of picture and everything is great. Thank you.

Generally, I liked the experience, and the resulting product sent to me was really good quality and thrilling!
Just in the designing website, zooming was a bit annoying, as I had to use the +- scrollbar on the bottom right (at least I couldn't find any other shortcut key). And while zooming out, sometimes it didn't show the canvas anymore, and I had to close and open the "Seiten" part to reshow it to me.
Also, the search option in the "clipart" section could be improved.
At least on the website it was better than the iOS app; in the app somehow the button to upload pictures was not working.

Software war ok. Fotobuch war qualitativ top.

I have used Saal-Digital for many different prints and been very satisfied. However, the last experience left me very frustrated. I wanted to make an album and chose a 28 x 19 cm photobook. When I was done with my content, I had only used 15 pages, so I wanted to delete 16-26. That was when I discovered that this format had a minimum page number of 26 and the unused pages could not be deleted. You don't make that clear anywhere on your web site. Also, my Album contained quite a bit of text to the photos, but formatting the text was an absolute nightmare ! In the end I built each page in Powerpoint and created a JPG from each page, which I then could insert into each album page as a photo. I had to find other ideas to fill in the empty pages. I used the online web editor for this work, but the Software got stuck and "lost" the information about which icon did what, e.g. "save" and "review" etc. and the price information was not updated. But one bad experience is not going to stop me in future - I just hope the SW is working again.

I have been so impressed with Saal Digital over the last 2 years, with their high quality prints, fast turnarounds, and excellent customer service. This was my first time trying a photo book with them and the results surpassed my expectations. They also produced and shipped the book in record time right in the middle of the Christmas season. The only small downside is that the software can be a bit clunky. I will continue to turn to them for all of my future photo product needs. Highly recommend!
