SmoothOps 365 is a UK-based IT career training platform, built for people who don't come from a technology background: healthcare workers, career changers, and anyone starting again in a new field. Our flagship IT Career Programme runs entirely on weekends (Saturday 10am–12pm and Sunday 12pm–2pm), so students can train without giving up their current job or income. Over 3 months and 26 sessions, students build practical, hands-on IT support skills, split evenly between theory and real, guided practice in our IT Lab, working through genuine helpdesk tickets, Microsoft 365 environments, and Azure trial environments. The programme includes CompTIA A+ exam preparation, one of the most widely recognised entry-level IT certifications in the world. SmoothOps 365 was founded by Taiwo Akintunde, who started his own career as a healthcare support worker before training into IT and now works as a Cloud and DevOps Engineer. That path shapes how the programme is built: practical, honest, and designed for people who've never worked in tech before. We're a new company, and we're upfront about that. We don't have hundreds of graduate outcomes to point to yet, but we do have real, verifiable credentials behind the training, and a genuine commitment to helping students build a real IT career, not just complete a course. Beyond individual training, SmoothOps 365 also offers Microsoft 365 and IT support services for small and growing organisations.

A good start for someone new to IT

I recently started the IT training with SmoothOps 365, and as someone without an IT background, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

What I’ve enjoyed so far is how practical the training is. We’ve been learning how to troubleshoot real Windows issues using tools like Task Manager, Event Viewer and Windows Services, and we also worked through practical IT support scenarios.

The part I found most helpful was learning how to think through a problem step by step instead of just memorising solutions. It has made IT support feel less intimidating and more achievable for me.

I’m still learning, but I’m enjoying the journey so far and looking forward to the rest of the programme.

Classes are flexible for a worker like me, my dashboard was really easy to navigate, the LMS and tutorials are perfect for a non tech expert like me, I also connected with tech experts expanding their careers… it is superb
