The New Forest website offered what appeared to be quality products. On receipt of the waistcoat I was exactly what was presented, tho the sizing was on the big side. A quick exchange of emails and a the replacement was in the post. The final result was spot on.

The New Forest V-Neck Explorer Gilet is clearly a quality product with high end finish but with a significant flaw.... the top left breast Velcro pocket (indeed both top breast Velcro pockets) aren't deep enough to comfortably hold a modern mobile phone and the side zip pocket is too awkward to use for a mobile phone. If the Velcro pocket was deeper and / or the zip at the top of the zip pocket it would be a perfect product. I'm returning it because a top pocket which can accommodate a mobile phone for easy quick access is an essential requirement when walking in the jacket.

Absolutely love New Forest - have a great choice and cover all outdoor requirements. The quality is second to none- I always used to only buy barbour but New Forest is my new favourite.Love their coats and jackets so much so I ordered 2 of same jacket in different colours.
