inclusive hotel on LINDOS…
Booked a all inclusive hotel on LINDOS EMPERIAL RESORT &spa in Rhodos.
They didnt have any personal in hotel for help or give information when you arrive at hotel.
Hotel has serious issues with pool management. The official pool hours are listed as 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, no reservations, yet guests were reserving sunbeds as early as 6:00 AM, and many were already swimming by 8:00 AM without any staff enforcing the rules. One night, people were shouting and swimming in the pool around midnight 00:00 until other guests complained. There seemed to be little or no supervision.
Pool cleanliness was also concerning. There was visible MOLD around the upper edges of the pool near the beach. When my child climbed out of the pool, their knees became green from touching the sides, which was unacceptable for a hotel of this standard.
The rooms were far from what I would expect from a 5star hotel. In an all inclusive resort, I would expect complimentary bottled water and coffee to be replenished daily. Instead, they were only provided once upon arrival, and any additional bottled water had to be purchased. It also surprised me that guests could not borrow an iron. Instead, ironing was only available as a paid service at €4 per item. Almost everything seemed to come with an extra charge.
The food was another disappointment. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner offered almost the same selection every day, with very little variety.
Entertainment was extremely limited. During the day, the only activities were water aerobics and a small water polo session for around ten people. There were no foam parties, inflatable attractions for children, or other fun family activities that you would normally expect at a large all inclusive resort.
The hotel layout was also inconvenient. A public road with constant traffic, including large buses, runs through the middle of the resort. Although we booked a sea view room, it was located on the opposite side of the road, and walking to the main activity pool required a long uphill walk that felt close to 1-2 kilometer. In addition they closed some of the entrance so you have to walk through the road.
The towel service was poorly organized. There was only one towel station located near the spa which is down the hill and it frequently ran out of clean towels. During our entire seven day stay, we were only able to exchange our pool towels once. For a resort with so many guests, this level of planning is simply inadequate.
