NEVER AGAIN

We used the online check-in option, 24hrs before departure for our flight from Dusseldorf to Antalya, 4M 412. According to Mavi Gok Airlines, the aircraft for this flight is a boeing 777-300. The checkin offers the option to book extra comfort with upgraded seats or you can choose to accept the auto-alocated seats. For my family, I opted for business class seats, an upgrade at row 4. I was taken through the checkout after which I received a confirmation that my upgrade was paid and successfully asigned. Unfortunately, their online checkin does not allow you to print boarding passes or have them emailed to you. You are asked to collect your boarding pass from the checkin desk in the Airport.
When I collected my boarding passes, the following day in the airport, I was asigned other seats, no upgrade, for me and my family. When addressing that I had prebooked seats, the woman at the checkin desk laughed at me and said there was no such thing as 'business class' on board of this plain. The prebooked seats were already taken, and if I wanted to complain, I had to call the customerdesk, goodbye!
This is by far the worst experience I ever had with an airliner. Worse then Ryanair and Easyjet. Don't trust this company, better to book an alternative flight and pay a few euros more. NEVER EVER AGAIN !!!

I bought my tickets months ago then…

I bought my tickets months ago then they made a change with the time and less than 14 days before the departure which was supposed to be today the 16th of July they canceled our flight for an operational reason and gave us another flight which will be the 18th of July. They send an email saying if we need to cancel or make a change free of charge, to contact them bybemail or phone call which I did the day I received the email and of course it was not free as this is a Turkish number. It has been a week since I have send the email and never received any response. On top of that the check in can be made 48 hours earlier and their website doesn't allow me to do that and they ask to call or send an email. I did not even started to fly that so many things have happened.

Extremely disappointing experience with…

Extremely disappointing experience with mga airlines.

Our flight was cancelled at the last minute and the only communication we received was a brief email stating that it had been cancelled for “operational reasons.” No proper explanation was provided and there was no clear information about when we would actually be able to travel.

What made the situation even more frustrating was that the flight status and booking details were not updated on the Manage My Booking system. We had to repeatedly contact the airline ourselves just to get basic information and request a refund. Every step of the process required us to chase for answers rather than receiving proactive support.

Customer service was incredibly poor. There was no sense of urgency despite the disruption caused to passengers travel plans. Calls were difficult and expensive because there was no English customer service number available, forcing us to make international premium rate calls simply to speak to someone about a problem caused by the airline.

A last minute cancellation is stressful enough but the lack of communication, poor customer support, failure to update booking information and the additional costs incurred trying to contact the airline made the experience far worse.

I DO NOT recommend this airline based on my experience!!!

If you’re considering flying with MGA…

If you’re considering flying with MGA Airlines, do yourself a favor and reconsider. This was honestly one of the most frustrating and unprofessional airline experiences I’ve ever had.

On our return flight, we were just 2 kilograms overweight on our luggage. Fine — rules are rules. Paying an extra fee is understandable. But the way this airline handled it was absolutely ridiculous.

The €20 excess baggage fee could not be paid by card. Cash only. And only in euros. In 2026.

This meant we had to walk roughly 1.5 kilometers to an ATM and then all the way back again carrying our bags through the airport. Nearly 3 kilometers of unnecessary walking because this airline apparently operates like electronic payments were never invented.

To make it worse, the ATM only allowed a €50 withdrawal — with a lovely airport commission fee on top, of course.

When we finally returned to the counter with the cash, the staff suddenly claimed they had no change. Seriously. After a long discussion, endless waiting, irritation, and a complete lack of cooperation, we eventually managed to get the remaining money back.

And this perfectly summed up the entire experience:

online check-in didn’t work;

staff were painfully slow;

employees were unfriendly and uninterested;

customer service felt nonexistent from start to finish.

No one expects luxury from every airline, but basic professionalism and simple customer-friendly procedures should not be too much to ask.

Absolutely never again. This airline managed to turn a minor baggage issue into a chaotic, exhausting, and unnecessarily stressful experience. Avoid if you value your time, patience, or sanity.

Very disappointed with the customer…

Very disappointed with the customer service of Mavi Gök Airlines. During online check-in, our family with three young children (6, 7, and 9 years old) was originally seated together in row 14. Naturally, we understood that these seats were confirmed. Later, our seats were changed without proper explanation, and I was moved to seat 8K while my partner was left alone with our three children.

If we had been separated during check-in, we would have happily paid for seat reservations to stay together as a family. Because the change happened afterwards, we were never given that opportunity. This caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience during boarding and throughout the flight.

What disappointed us even more was the response from customer service. There was no understanding or empathy for the situation involving three young children. Instead of offering a customer-friendly solution, we only received a standard reply saying that seat changes can happen due to “operational requirements” and that compensation would not be approved.

Poor communication, no empathy, and no effort to help a family travel together. I would not recommend this airline to families traveling with children.

This is the worst airline company I…

This is the worst airline company I have ever used, I don't have the words to describe it!!! They customer service is horrendous, they are evading their legal responsibilities, lying directly to the customer, only after government agencies get involved they actually react and even then not fully and still causing you a headache. How can a company that is is doing such a serious business be so unprofessional I have no clue, never in any European country I have faced such low level of standards is beyond me! Don't even bother contacting them, if there is issue or they are obligated to compensate you contact SGHM - Turkish Directorate General Of Civil Aviation right away, because this company gonna waist your time and lie to your face like some scammer for months on end...

Just terrible

Just terrible. The crew was totally unorganized, they seem that they had no clue of what they were doing. The flight was 4 hours late and nobody told us anything. They flight was more than 8 hours long and the infotainment was not working for everybody.

MGA are rated low for a reason

Look at the reviews and take note. We thought new company let’s try them and forget the reviews. Got to the airport and a family had missed there AM flight through no fault of their own. They had actually checked in and waiting for a gate number. It didn’t materialize so they went to find out and oh the planes gone. We had booked the night flight. Only 25 people on board so shouldn’t be any delay. Passengers all at the gate by 20:10 ready for 21:00 departure. Still departed almost 1 hour late. Then the cream on the top was the email literally the day after arriving in Turkey. Your return flight due on the 18th Sept has been cancelled and sorry here’s £80 each to get home unless you want to go on the 21st Sept. we are sat in Turkey no stress as we can deal with it but just read the reviews and cheap is not always good. Shocking experience.

BRILLIANT

Extremely good experience. Never heard of this airline prior to flying home unexpectedly and was quite nervous. Had absolutely nothing to worry about and it was one of our best flying experiences hence why I had to leave a review. Punctual, professional, aircraft was spotless and crew were lovely. Thank you to everyone who works for MGA

Issue with damaged luggage and lack of response from the airline

In July 2025, during a flight with Mavi Gök Airlines, I encountered a serious problem: my suitcase was damaged — the hard shell was cracked, one wheel was missing, and a new protective cover was scratched.
After filing a Damage Report at the airport, I sent official complaints to the airline via email and through their online form, but to this day I have not received any response or compensation offer.
I find this level of service unacceptable, especially given the official documentation confirming the damage. I hope my review will help other passengers and encourage Mavi Gök Airlines to improve their service quality.

Terrible Airlines, who don't give a ....

We are now in the Asteria Bloom hotel Side, and I had a trouble that my suitcase didn't arrive same time as me yesterday, it was in Tallinn and came to Antalya airport just today.

The first bad news was from the airlines. I got the contact of the gentleman who filed a report for my luggage at the Antalya airport T2 Lost and Found office, he was very helpful and when he tried to arrange a transfer, the airline deny it and said that it was passenger fault.

The second bad news is that the hotel is full of Anex tour people and they're all useless in helping out, the tour guide herself, first misinformed me during the checkin date that my baggage will arrive to the hotel. And second day, she was met by my girlfriend at the hotel and she snapped at her (I was told she wasn't kind at all, and my gf told me that she looked overall quite annoyed for the situation) that's because perhaps we were not interested in buying a tour from her but we actually had to deal with a real problem instead.

Anyways, now i need to arrange transportation to airport again (while Anex tour cars keep going to the airport and hotel back and forth daily), they have so many transfer cars, so many people all around - with 0 solution.

So I am here with the same clothes for more than 48 hours, second day of my trip is going without my luggage and all belongings, i have to pay extra 140 eur to get to Antalya airport again (i am not going there myself, i prepared a power of attorney which has my passport copy, my signature and a statement that I allow X person to get my luggage)..

So bottom line, all the money, energy, time spent on this surely make me realize that I will never book anything from Anex tour or MGA ever again!

Thanks for not doing anything, it will be remembered!!!!
