My Experience with Moneta Funded – Third Payout Withheld, Funded Account Terminated, Active Challenge Accounts Canceled Without Refund, and Permanently Banned from the Platform
I successfully completed Moneta Funded's evaluation process and received my first two payouts. When I requested my third payout, instead of processing it, It was delayed and I was informed that I had to complete a mandatory interview with their Risk Team before they would release my funds.
During the interview, I was asked to demonstrate my trading strategy live and explain how I made my trading decisions. I answered their questions honestly, but I declined to disclose my proprietary trading strategy because I consider it confidential intellectual property that I have spent years developing. I do not believe traders should be required to reveal the details of their edge simply to receive a payout they have already earned.
After the interview, Moneta Funded disabled my dashboard, terminated my funded account, and prevented me from accessing my account. They later stated that their decision was based on "quantitative analysis, behavioral pattern recognition, statistical modeling, and manual review," concluding that my trading reflected "rule optimization and gamification" rather than genuine discretionary trading. However, they never identified a single trading rule that I had violated, never provided any specific evidence to support their conclusions, and never explained exactly what I had done wrong.
They then offered to pay my pending payout only if I signed a legal waiver releasing them from all present and future claims against the company. I declined because I do not believe anyone should have to surrender their legal rights simply to receive money they have already earned under the terms of the program.
What concerns me most is that this mandatory interview requirement was introduced only after I requested my payout. It was not part of the process when I purchased my challenge or when I worked toward becoming funded. In my opinion, any significant verification requirements that could result in account termination or withheld payouts should be clearly disclosed before customers purchase an account, not introduced after they become eligible to withdraw profits.
In addition to terminating my funded account, Moneta Funded also canceled my other active challenge accounts without issuing any refund. Those challenges had not violated any trading rules, yet they were simply closed along with my funded account. Losing my funded account and my active challenges without any demonstrated rule violation was extremely disappointing.
I fully support a prop firm's right to investigate fraud and protect the integrity of its platform. However, when a trader is accused of misconduct, there should be transparency, clear evidence, and an opportunity to respond to specific concerns. In my case, I received only broad conclusions with no supporting facts or examples.
This review reflects my personal experience with Moneta Funded. Others may have different experiences, but based on what happened to me, I cannot recommend the company.

Everything has been great with this broker so far, and I hope it stays that way. My only suggestion is to keep the spreads as low and as stable as possible.
For example, the spread on Gold has remained stable, which is great. However, the spreads on indices like the Dow Jones have started to increase slightly during the day. It would be even better if they could remain as consistent as they were before.
The market itself already puts enough psychological pressure on traders. Having stable and predictable spreads helps reduce unnecessary stress, allowing traders to focus entirely on their strategy and execution.
