Office staff and fitters very curtious and respectful of property. Kept me in the loop with everything from booking process to finishing work. Clean and efficient fitters. Turned up on time, and came back when there was a slight issue to be looked at.

Chose one and arranged time for work, he arrived early and was very good, listened to what I wanted, completed work and cleaned up at the end. Cost was extremely reasonable , so really pleased with whole experience , will definitely use again,

Bathroom floor retiled by Mihail
We had our bathroom floor retiled by Mihail from Hey Alfie. Initially had some teething issues with the AI platform but the team proactively got in touch with us to resolve them. When Mihail arrived he was brilliant. Super knowledgeable, great communication and he did a fantastic job. Would definitely use Hey Alfie again.

I used Hey Alfie for a small renovation to touch up my flat before putting it for sale. John was very detailed in capturing the scope, and the whole renovation was kept on time and to the agreed fixed price! The painting and small repairs made the flat look brand new and I was very pleased with the result.

Started badly, ended up great
My experience with this service was consistently poor from start to finish.
I paid £96 upfront for a repair to my blinds. Adam made it clear there was no guarantee they could be fixed, which I accepted. However, it then took nearly three weeks for him to get back to me with a repair date. While he apologised for the lack of communication and explained that he had been unwell for a week, the communication issues started before his illness and continued afterwards, even after I had raised my concerns.
The handyman attended and attempted the repair. I was informed by my tenant that I would hear back from Adam afterwards. Several days passed with no contact. My follow-up email was ignored, and I then received a request for an additional £80 with no explanation of what the charge was for.
After chasing again, Adam informed me that the additional charge had been sent in error and that I should actually have received a partial refund of my original fee because the handyman had been on site for less than an hour.
Despite repeatedly raising concerns about communication, nothing improved. In total, the process took nearly five weeks and left me back at square one with the original problem unresolved.
I would not use this service again. It would have been easier, quicker, cheaper and more efficient to contact the repair professional directly. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this website.

Since writing my initial review, the CEO, Nigel, got in touch to apologise for my experience and offered to put things right. I didn't expect him to go to the lengths he did.
After investigating what had happened, Nigel refunded my payment in full and offered to cover the cost of replacement blinds. As I had already purchased new blinds myself, he reimbursed me for those instead. He also arranged for a member of the Hey Alfie in-house team to install the new blinds free of charge.
Nigel offered up to £300 towards the replacement blinds. As the blinds I purchased cost around £100, he provided the remaining £200 as credit to use with Hey Alfie in the future.
He went above and beyond to resolve the issues I'd experienced. I was genuinely surprised by both the generosity of his offer and the speed with which everything was resolved once he became involved. The new blinds have now been fitted and the matter is fully resolved.
Thank you, Nigel. In light of the exceptional efforts made to address my concerns, I have updated my review from 1 star to 5 stars.
