Me and my partner recently used Homemove when buying our first home and, as first-time buyers we was unsure about what type of survey we needed or what the process involved.

From the very beginning, the communication was excellent, clear and friendly. Megan explained everything clearly, answered my questions and made the whole process feel really straightforward.

The price was also fantastic and, most importantly, I felt I was in good hands throughout the process.

The Survey was done promptly and I was kept upto date with every step of the process, Homemove would even give me updates before the survey company did! Which was fantastic and was reassuring.

I’d definitely recommend Homemove to anyone, especially first-time buyers who might be unsure about the surveying process.
Great service from start to finish!

A very positive experience using Homemove. The dashboard is incredibly useful and updates in real time so you can see exactly what progress is happening. The agent within the dashboard is actually pretty amazing considering it's AI!! Paying was straight forward too and I was matched with a local surveyor who was booked in within days. Communication with that surveyor was excellent as was the report they made. I wouldn't hesitate in using Homemove again for this type of service.

Really simple and easy to book, Fantastic clear dashboard which shows you all the steps and what's currently happening so you're in the loop. Surveyor we had out was brilliant and friendly - would recommend to anyone who needs this service!

Starts off promising, but hidden costs and misleading quotes cost me over £400 extra.

At first, Homemove seemed like a good one-stop platform for house purchasing. The interface appears seamless, and booking an initial survey was straightforward enough though it took a long time (I accepted this as the price was competitive).

Unfortunately, my experience with their legal services was disappointing due to misleading quotes and unexpected extra costs. The legal fees ended up being over £400 higher than the original quote. Their explanation was that it had been processed as a "sale" rather than a "purchase" despite me having previously booked a survey with them and using their broker for purchase searches.

I paid a £149 "legal deposit" and had a £100 discount to secure their service. However, none of this appeared on the solicitor’s completion statement. When questioned, Homemove claimed these were factored into the initial quote, but in reality, it felt like an onboarding fee taken by Homemove. Standard costs (like search fee packs) were also omitted from the quote though I accepted this even though other options I looked into at the time did include it.

I only discovered the discrepancies a week before exchange, leaving me with no choice but to pay the full amount to avoid delaying the purchase.

After I raised a complaint, there was a lot of back-and-forth confusion between Homemove and the solicitors before they ultimately claimed no misquotation had occurred.

I advise others using this service to be cautious with how Homemove itemises quotes. What looks like a competitive deal upfront turned out to be inaccurate with fees left out of the initial estimate and disregard for any discrepancy afterwards.

Lesson learned, I won't be using them again and suggest others take care when reviewing their offer.

Best moving experience. Team made it so easy

I booked two services through Homemove, a structural engineer report and damp and timber report. I discovered Homemove added 50% and 83% markup respectively. This markup is not justified, nor was it transparent. I found communication between myself and Homemove to be slow and frustrating, and they failed to add any value to the communication with the contractors. There was confusion in who was paying for and receiving the reports even though I had paid in advance. My advice, save yourself a huge amount and find the companies that offer the surveys and reports directly.

Honestly, you guys were fantastic. You supported me throughout the entire process, from the initial enquiry and booking to the follow-up afterwards.

I received my Level 2 Home Survey report on the very next working day, which was incredibly impressive. The whole process was smooth, efficient, and genuinely helpful.

Yesterday Homemove helped me move back to Melbourne from central Victoria. The whole team were extremely professional and courteous. The team really made us feel as if supporting us mattered, being attentive to our needs, right from the start. When there was a delay in our survey arriving, they immediately began to sort it out with the firm who had been commissioned to do the survey - and managed to do so quickly. Had we been aware beforehand of their full range of services, we might well have used them for more aspects of our move. Thank you Homemove!

They offered a good package that was fair and competitive, so far with the experience I have not felt alone and I can get answers to questions with great communication. Friendly and inviting assistance, I am still working through my package but overall great so far

We had a Level 3 Survey undertaken by IQS through Homemove. It was simple and straightforward to use and delivered an exceptional report. Would definately recommend.

Really pleased so far. I have used Homemove to sort out my mortgage, and for conveyancing. I also intend to use them for surveyor and finally for removals. I will update my review after I move to my new flat, but very happy so far. Everything is very smooth, and it saves me a lot stress handling everything myself.
