After cancelling my subscription in which the VPS was completely deleted they still say its "Active" when I told them in a ticket that I cancelled it. They are still trying to withdraw 180 to this day. I would NOT recommend putting your card on there.

I use Kamatera to host a VPS powering the user login system for my web application. The whole thing was set up half a year ago, mainly as practice exercise for myself. Setting up and running the server was completely hassle-free; the interface is well-organized and left no questions unanswered.
What I'd especially like to highlight is the excellent customer service. My server may be the smallest plan they offer, and I'm hardly a major source of revenue for Kamatera, yet they still were very responsive and took the time to fully restore my account and server when I messed things up. That level of support really stood out to me.

We’ve had bad experiences in the past with other VPS/VDS providers who lose interest the moment you sign up, so we were cautious when moving to Kamatera.
Their support team quickly proved we made the right choice. The level of expertise, guidance, and responsiveness has been outstanding. They helped us plan, configure, and maintain our servers properly, and even introduced us to options and solutions we didn’t know existed. Kamatera has been a huge benefit to our setup and overall reliability.
We’ve now had three servers running behind an OPNSense gateway for firewalling and VPN for a little over three years, after our previous provider couldn’t meet our requirements.
When issues have arisen or I’ve needed help with configuration, their support team has shown real technical depth and resolved everything in good time. It’s reassuring to work with a provider that genuinely stands behind their service.

Fake free trial. So, instantly back to Namecheap LOL
I initially loved it and gave it 5 stars. Then, literally just hours later—and only 3 or 4 days into my 30-day trial, right as I finished setting up the LAMP server and Virtualmin—they emailed me claiming "fraudulent activity."
Look, I have been in business for 26 years and run multiple servers with Namecheap, HostGator, and IONOS. Yet, Kamatera demanded a deposit because they are apparently broke. If they couldn't even let me try the service for one full week without acting shady, they aren't getting a dime from me.
How is setting up LAMP and Virtualmin from my Samsung Laptop Fraud? It cannot be our money, Namecheap LOVED our money.
I instantly changed the nameservers back to my big Namecheap VPS (which is half the price!). LOL. You needed me; I did not need you.

We completely understand why getting hit with a sudden account flag right after you finished setting up your environment felt incredibly disruptive and came off the wrong way.
We want to clear the air entirely: your build environment was absolutely not the problem. We love seeing developers deploy those exact web stacks on our infrastructure.
What actually happened behind the scenes comes down to an automated platform security guardrail. Our records show that you originally signed up for our platform a couple of years ago, and the account remained completely dormant until now. When a long-inactive account suddenly spins up new infrastructure, our automated system flags it as unusual behavior to protect our network from potential platform abuse.
To verify the account, the system requests a temporary $10 deposit. This does not nullify your $100 free trial. It is simply a standard verification check to ensure a live user is behind the keyboard. If you complete your 30-day trial and decide Kamatera isn't the right fit for you, that deposit is fully refunded to you.
There are absolutely no shady strings attached, but we completely realize how a robotic notification can ruin a first impression for a seasoned business owner! We know you don't need us, but we would still love the chance to manually clear your account so you can experience our enterprise-grade hardware completely risk-free.
