Transaction are fast. all banking function works smoothly

The rules are quite simple: no hidden fees, free Mastercard debit card, no fees for foreign currency payments, 3% p.a. interest for 6 months, Cashback for card purchasements... I got exactly what they promised I would get, and that's all I need!
As constructive feedback, I must say that it would be nice to include the Freiesteuererklärung somewhere in the app. Moreover, maybe the interface of the app should be worked a bit, because currently it's not easy to see the interests gained nor the cashback already accumulated.
Finally, that next time they do a typo in someone's name they don't need one month (!) to fix it

DO NOT OPEN a bank account here!!!!!!!!!!! The customer service has zero compatibility, zero IQ and I am more than serious. I opened a bank account which was already not smooth. I had to get a Meldebescheinigung for 10 EUR even though I live here for 6 years, btw I am an EU citizen. They did not accept my anmeldung nor any of my invoices I provided. I wanted information about how this 3% saving account works but from English customer service Jose picked up the phone who did not understand a word of English. So I was like I will solve it myself. I found only this 2% fixed term account. I opened it. Then I learned how the 3% account works. So I tried to cancel it immediately. According to terms and conditions I could do it within 14 days of opening. However in the application it does not have the function to cancel. So I did 6 times on the website. I got 6 times the message the cancellation was sucessful. Guess what, it never went through. I contacted the Customer Service thousands times via phone, via chat. I wasted hours of my life, I MEAN it. But I got the message again and again "cancel it in the application". Which is NOT WORKING!!!!!!!! Not working neither in the app nor on the website. Now 2,5 weeks later still we are at status que.

You can see the work behind this project and value a rapidly growing Digital Bank with a new proposal. The Digital Banking solution of BBVA comes to Germany to stay. They had some difficulties related to the rapidly growing business in this beginning which is very understandable in such situations. The Bank is yet one of the biggest in Europe and provides an innovative and strong value proposition that develops almost daily. I believe there is much more to come and I am eager to see everything the Bank has to offer. For me this is a hands down 5-Star Bank. I recommend it.

As I do not have a German nationality, I was not allowed to open a bank account with BBVA. They told me very clearly that my Niederlassungserlaubnis is not acceptable.

I’ve been a BBVA customer in Spain for many years, and one of the things I’ve always appreciated most is their app — intuitive, simple, fast, and with everything I need just a few taps away. Now that I live in Germany, I’m thrilled to see that BBVA has brought that same experience here.

The German app is virtually identical to the Spanish one, which has won multiple awards over the years for its design and user experience. It’s so easy to use that even my parents — who are far from tech-savvy — navigate it without any issues. Everything is clearly laid out, processes are smooth and quick, and the overall experience inspires trust.

After years of dealing with slow systems, endless paperwork, and outdated banking bureaucracy in Germany, BBVA is a breath of fresh air. It’s time for a change in the German banking market, and BBVA is leading the way.
