Companies often going on default

They advertise borrowers paying 17%, 15%, 14% per year, even paying bonuses if the investment goes high, and then, after a few months, the companies go bankrupt, the case drags on for years in court, and you don't know if you'll get your money back or not. You send messages and only receive a very standardized and superficial response. I don't recommend them and I think this company should be subject to scrutiny by the regulatory body.

Solid partner for P2P investements

Over the past three years of investing with Bondster, my returns have been around 11% per year.
Sometimes the range of investement opportunities that I'm looking for are limited.
Occasionally, there are technical issues with the connection.
But overall, I'm satisfied and even customer support worked well. I was able to get in touch with someone who was able to help me resolved my issues with automated strategies.

Withdrawals blocked

After investing for a few years (low volume), they suddenly blocked withdrawals and asked for documents to verify account ownership. I've sent the documents and some weeks have passed and they didn't analyse them. On their site, they say they have too much paper work to verify and are asking at least 10 days for verifying.

Dear Mr. Feitoza,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand how frustrating it can be when a withdrawal is delayed, especially after you have already submitted the requested verification documents.
Please note that account verification is a regulatory requirement designed to protect client funds and ensure account security. In periods of high request volumes, the review process may unfortunately take longer than expected.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. If your documents have been pending for several weeks, we encourage you to contact our support team with your account details so we can review the status of your verification and assist in resolving the matter as quickly as possible.

Dear Aleandro,
we understand that a long wait for a resolution is frustrating. Unfortunately, in some cases the process takes longer and depends on legal proceedings that cannot be expedited. We provide ongoing updates through customer support as specific cases develop, as well as on our website.
If you contact us, we’ll be happy to review your specific investment and provide an update on its current status.

Dear Roberto,
Thank you for your feedback.
In some cases, certain investments may indeed experience delays or a longer recovery process, particularly when a loan provider does not repay according to the original schedule. In such situations, we maintain regular communication with the loan providers, legal representatives, and other involved parties, while continuously informing investors about further developments.

We understand that prolonged waiting periods can be frustrating for investors. However, each case has its own specifics, and the resolution process often depends on legal proceedings that cannot be accelerated overnight.
Please note that we regularly update information regarding delayed loan providers on our website.
We kindly ask for your patience. If you would like more detailed information about the status of your investment, please contact our customer support team, who will be happy to assist you.
Kind regards, Bondster Team

All investments long after due date

When I started investing at Bondster (2019) it seems quite ok, nice diversification, autoinvest, not only CZK, but EUR as well. But right now, all my investments are "V prodlení přes 60 dní" or "Zesplatněné". These cannot be sold on the secondary market. So I am stuck with these with no mean of closing my account, just checking once per year and withdrawing few Crowns.

Dear Michala, thank you for your feedback.
We understand that the situation with delinquent investments is unpleasant, especially when it comes to older investments from a time when both the market and individual lenders were at a different stage of development. In these cases, we are actively working with legal representatives and lenders to resolve them. The buyback guarantee is always the obligation of the specific lender, not the Bondster platform. Our role is to facilitate investment opportunities, not to assume these obligations.
We would also like to add that our current portfolio and provider selection processes have evolved significantly in recent years, particularly in the areas of risk management and diversification, which we consider fundamental—the majority of our investors hold 90% of their investments in real estate-backed loans. If you would like to discuss your specific situation in more detail, we would be happy to assist you individually through our support team.

Dear Evangelos, we’re sorry to hear about your experience.
We understand that long-overdue investments can cause mistrust. However, it’s important to note that legal proceedings are currently underway for some of the older cases you’ve mentioned, which can be a time-consuming process. We’re actively addressing these situations and providing ongoing updates. We have also significantly tightened our provider selection and risk management processes to minimize such situations. We would be happy to review your specific investments and explain the current status—please don’t hesitate to contact our support team.

They prevent you from listing loans on the secondary market!

I am currently unable to sell the Flowpay loan 7470779020260210 on the secondary market, even though the platform’s own rules say this should be possible. See my support request (46469).

According to Bondster’s FAQ, loans can be offered for sale on the secondary market as long as the acceleration clause has not been activated, the loan has not been written off or terminated, and it is not more than 60 days past due. My loan meets the conditions for selling, yet the platform prevents me from listing it.

I asked to exit the loan and receive the full invested amount back. I even offered to accept the standard 0.5% fee that would normally apply if I were able to sell the loan on the secondary market, but the issue remains unresolved.

Preventing investors from selling loans while publicly stating that such sales should be possible raises serious concerns about whether the platform is honoring its own rules. If this situation is not resolved promptly, I will consider filing a formal complaint with the relevant consumer and financial authorities.

Update: 16/03/2026

The inability to sell the loans on the secondary market appears to be due to a limitation of the platform itself. At the moment, the platform cannot process on the secondary market loans that have been withdrawn by the loan originator from the primary market.

My case eventually reached Bondster’s management, who proposed a solution. While the underlying issue has not been resolved, they at least showed ownership and a willingness to help.

It is disappointing that the matter had to escalate to management, as the customer support team was largely unhelpful.

For these reasons, I have increased my rating to 3.

Solid P2P platform

I have been investing through Bondster for quite some time now, and my overall experience has been very positive. The platform is well-designed and user-friendly, and I especially appreciate the freedom to manually select specific loans for my portfolio.

Currently, I focus exclusively on real-estate-backed loans. So far, everything has been running smoothly, repayments arrive on time every month, and I haven't faced any defaults in this segment yet.

I previously experimented with consumer loans and did encounter a default. However, the buyback guarantee worked exactly as advertised. The loan was bought back, and I even received the accrued interest/penalties, which really built my trust in the platform's security features.

The only downside is the 1% annual management fee for CZK investments. While the platform provides great service, reducing this fee to a more competitive level (e.g., below 0.5%) would make it much more attractive compared to other European P2P marketplaces that often charge no fees to investors.

Overall, I'm a satisfied investor and can definitely recommend it!

Scam

I invested on this platform to a couple of companies, namely "speedcash". Since 2019 I have no income, my invested capital was not returned, and there is no information from the Bondster itself about their actions undertaken to secure and return investments. They just keep silence, sending me useless information about zero movement on my account. It looks like a mockery, and the company is definitely a scam.

Good day,
If you have lost all your profit or even your entire investment, it is likely that your portfolio was not sufficiently diversified. Our platform has long hosted a number of reliable loan originators, and the majority of investors achieve stable returns. Diversification is a key tool for minimizing the impact of individual defaulted loans on overall performance.
For loan originators in default, we actively defend the interests of our investors and take steps to recover the outstanding amounts. If you are interested in an analysis of your portfolio, please contact our customer support team.
