Failure to provide necessary items

Firstly they failed to provide the key necessary things that you would expect on a long flight such as a blanket or pillow and also food. You had to pay to get food if you hadn't ordered. There was no entertainment on the flight only one type of charging port and the seats were extremely uncomfortable so I couldn't catch any sleep. Overall, they failed to provide any of the items you would expect from any airline on a long flight.

A very disappointing experience with Air Arabia. Honestly, one of the worst airline experiences I have ever had. The service was extremely poor, and what is even worse is that they may cancel your flight without proper or timely notification, then simply tell you: “Take your refund and that’s it.”
Even if the ticket is cheap, I would not recommend this airline to anyone. A low price does not justify such poor service and lack of respect for passengers’ time and travel plans.
A terrible experience that I definitely would not repeat or recommend.

Extremely disappointing experience with Air Arabia.

Extremely disappointing experience with Air Arabia.

Traveling from Nairobi and was denied boarding by Air Arabia staff because they claimed there was a problem with travel documentation.

We subsequently obtained written confirmation directly from Immigration that his documentation was valid and sufficient for travel.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that he then travelled with KLM using the same documentation, without any issue whatsoever.

Because of Air Arabia's decision, the original journey was lost, a replacement flight had to be purchased at additional cost, and we were left dealing with the financial and practical consequences of what appears to have been an incorrect decision at the airport.

We have since tried to resolve the matter and obtain a refund, supported by written evidence from Immigration, but the process has been unnecessarily difficult and frustrating.

Airlines understandably have a responsibility to check passengers' travel documents. However, denying someone boarding is a serious decision with significant consequences, and passengers should be able to expect those checks to be carried out accurately.

Based on our experience, I would be extremely hesitant to book with Air Arabia again, particularly for an international journey involving connections or immigration documentation.

This airline experience was chaos

This airline experience was an absolute circus the second I walked in. They are brazenly robbing passengers blind—parading around as a "budget" airline while gouging you with extortionate hidden fees at every turn.
If you are unfortunate enough to need a cancellation, they brutally confiscate 20% of your hard-earned cash, hoarding it away as a forced credit for future use instead of processing a proper refund. When I cancelled a ticket on December 31, 2025, and rebooked for January 8, they brazenly hijacked 20% of my money, locking it up behind a ridiculous one-year grace period just to hold my own funds hostage.
This isn't just unprofessional—it is a sleazy, predatory, utter flop of a policy by Air Arabia. Traveling with them is thoroughly repulsive, completely not worth the endless headaches, and an absolute waste of money. Never again.

I contacted the airline (which in itself was a struggle getting through layers of chat bots that were useless) to ask for a compensation of a 9h delay. 24 hours later I get an automated response saying that my booking has been cancelled as requested. As per the Boarding pass it was mentioned that the Boarding gate will be opening at 17:25 and the transfer disc informed me that it was closed 17:35 I was there at the barding gate 17:47.

So now you are telling me that the Barding gate is open only for 10 mins and it was close, and plane should departure at 17:55 means it was still there.

A delay of 10 mins should not make me unable to enter the plane, specially I was there before the departure of said plane.

This is a very bad experience and this should be refunded or replaced.

3 out of 4 flight had a 40+ minutes delay

I am not satisfied with my recent experience with Air Arabia. Three out of our four flights were delayed, which caused us to miss a connection. Although Air Arabia did provide a replacement ticket, they refuse to formally acknowledge that the missed connection was not our fault, which means the costs of our onward flight with another airline are not being reimbursed. Despite multiple attempts to contact them and submitting a complaint, we have not received any useful response.

The aircraft itself was very basic (no screens, no USB charging ports, limited legroom), and the service was poor with only a small selection of meals available — most items were not in stock.

Additionally, Sharjah Airport is chaotic and not a pleasant place to transfer. Because of the long and slow bus transfer from the aircraft to the terminal, you realistically need at least one hour to make a connection — anything shorter is very risky.

Overall, not an airline or airport we would choose again.

Checked baggage lost

My checked bag was lost at Sharjah Airport. Once it was located and arrived at the destination airport, Air Arabia refused to courier it to my residential address. As a result, I was forced to collect the bag at my own expense, and Air Arabia subsequently refused to reimburse my travel costs. This is entirely unprofessional, and I did not expect such treatment. I anticipated a customer policy that shows greater care and consideration for passengers.

Very poor experience with Air Arabia.

Very poor experience with Air Arabia.
We flew from Sharjah to Tbilisi and were denied entry, then forcibly returned. At Sharjah Airport our passports were withheld and we were pressured to pay for return tickets and an additional amount without any receipt. We were also suddenly charged for excess baggage even though the airline had previously approved the weights and we added nothing to the bags.
All our luggage suffered visible damage while under the airline’s responsibility (official PIR reference: DAMG910369). One bag was later forwarded to Damascus after a delay.
The handling of our family, which includes a child with a serious medical condition, lacked any basic humanity or flexibility. We filed a formal complaint but have only received a partial reply about the baggage, with no proper response to the mistreatment or compensation requests.
I do not recommend this airline, especially if anything goes wrong during your journey.

Worst airline so far

Air Arabia were positively gleeful about charging me an extra £30 for my luggage being over their limit (although it was easily within size range) & later found out that they shouldn’t have charged me for food & water weight.
No charging ports or videos/tv to watch on plane. No free meals for long haul. But the worst part was on returning from India to UK I wasn’t allowed into the airport by security as you have to show a ticket; but Air Arabia doesn’t allow check in online from India - you have to check in AT the airport, but no access without ticket..?!?

Very disappointing experience with Air Arabia

Our experience with Air Arabia was extremely disappointing.

On 16/07/2026, our flight from Gatwick was delayed by around 2.5 hours. When we reached Sharjah, we were refused boarding on our original connecting flight because our bags had not been offloaded, meaning we would have travelled without them. We then had to wait another two hours before boarding a different flight.

We had pre-ordered and paid for meals when booking our tickets. Once onboard, other passengers were served food, but we were told our meals were unavailable because this was not our original flight. I contacted Air Arabia afterwards and was told I had already been refunded. This was not true. I never received the refund, and despite asking for proof, none was provided.

When we arrived in Phuket, our suitcases were missing. We reported this immediately and were told they were still in Sharjah and would arrive within 24 hours. They were eventually delivered to our resort on 18/07/2026, but one suitcase was broken/damaged.

We reported the damage to Air Arabia and were directed to their representative. As I had already returned home, I had to deal with this by email. There was then a frustrating back-and-forth about when the damage had been reported. I had to provide evidence proving that I had contacted Air Arabia within the required timeframe before the claim was finally accepted.

I have since been repeatedly chasing an update on the damaged baggage claim, with very little assistance.

I understand that delays and baggage problems can happen, but what has been most disappointing is the lack of communication and customer service when trying to resolve these issues.

Paid-for meals not provided, an incorrect refund claim, delayed luggage, a damaged suitcase and then months of chasing for assistance. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend Air Arabia.

Disgusting Airline, bad service

Disgusting Airline. We flew from MUC to BKK and had 16 hrs delay. On the flight back the same thing. 15 hrs delay. Customer service is awful and impatient.
Planes are old and filthy, nothing for entertainment or any food on a 7 hrs flight. I wish that was the worst tho.
If you book with them be ready to spend half your vaccation in airport and arguing about compensations for 30+ hrs lost time.
Never again, not for free

Very disrespectful manner

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Extremely Unprofessional Treatment at Damascus Airport – Air Arabia Flight to Sharjah

Dear Air Arabia Customer Relations Team,

I am writing to submit a formal complaint regarding the extremely unacceptable treatment my family received from Air Arabia staff at Damascus International Airport on August 27, 2026, before our flight from Damascus to Sharjah at 7:25 AM.

Our experience at the airport was extremely stressful and upsetting. We were travelling as a family with several children, and instead of receiving reasonable assistance from the staff, we were treated in a disrespectful and humiliating manner.

The main issue was our baggage. We were told that we had additional kilos and were asked to pay approximately USD 350. We did not agree to pay this amount because we believed that the baggage we were carrying was within the allowance we were entitled to, including the 3 kg personal-item/handbag allowance per passenger.
They disrespected my smaller sibling just because they wanted their backpacks that they bought for school and bottles they started crying because the staff put them in fear not excitement. The woman started scaring us that we won't travel unless we kept our bags the security of the airport wanted to solve this matter but the staff of air arabia were the worst they should be fired not welcomed and highered to work.
We tried to resolve the situation calmly, but the staff refused to accept our bags and continued to follow us around the airport. My mother was taken aside to discuss the matter while my siblings and I had to proceed because our flight was about to depart.

What happened afterwards was even more upsetting. When my siblings and I went to proceed for the flight, staff stopped us and made disrespectful and inappropriate comments about our parents, including comments about our father and mother. This was completely unacceptable. Whatever disagreement there may have been regarding baggage, there was absolutely no justification for staff speaking about our parents in this manner or treating children and a family with such disrespect.

We were under enormous pressure because the flight was departing, and instead of helping us resolve the baggage issue professionally, the situation became confrontational and humiliating.

We also observed many other passengers travelling with handbags and personal items, which made us even more confused as to why our personal items were being refused. We would therefore like Air Arabia to clarify exactly what baggage allowance applied to each passenger on our booking, what items or weights the staff determined were outside that allowance, and why we were asked to pay approximately USD 350.
They were one hijab a man and a non-hijabi very disrespectful.
I am requesting that Air Arabia:

Conduct a full investigation into the conduct of the staff involved at Damascus International Airport. Review any available CCTV footage beside the gate ,3 staff reports, baggage records, and booking information related to this incident. Identify the employees who dealt with our family. Explain exactly why our baggage was considered outside our permitted allowance. Explain why we were asked to pay approximately USD 350. Investigate the inappropriate comments made about our parents and the way my siblings and I were treated. Provide a written response explaining the outcome of the investigation and what action will be taken regarding this incident. If Air Arabia determines that the baggage was actually within our purchased/allowed allowance, explain how this mistake occurred and what remedy will be provided.

We understand that airlines have baggage rules and that passengers are expected to follow them. However, enforcing baggage rules does not justify disrespectful, humiliating, or inappropriate treatment of passengers. We expect your staff to communicate professionally, especially when dealing with families and children who are already under pressure because of an imminent flight departure.

This was one of the worst travel experiences our family has ever had, and the way we were treated has seriously affected our trust in Air Arabia.

I expect this complaint to be taken seriously and investigated fully rather than treated as a routine baggage inquiry.

Please provide us with a written response and the complaint/reference number for this case.

Sincerely,

[Flight: Damascus → Sharjah]

I booked the flight for my brother

I booked the flight for my brother from armenia to delhi with stop at abu dhabi. When brother was at the airport, the security didn’t allow him to enter as they said you don’t have a valid ticket. And after talking to customer service she confirmed the half way ticket is only valid. I requested for the refund but now they are saying my brother didn’t make to the counter. But after telling them many times the airport security didn’t allow. Now they are stop giving response. Very disrespectful and full of scammers.
