Organic food straight from the farmer Buy seasonal products without intermediaries and promote a more humane and sustainable European agriculture. CrowdFarming fights against food waste at the source thanks to adoptions. When you adopt something, you allow the Farmer to grow a crop knowing that someone will consume it. In the food supply chain, many farmers grow crops without knowing whether they'll be able to sell them. Moreover, the Farmers at CrowdFarming don't throw away "ugly fruit", as they abide by product-quality criteria instead of aesthetic-ones. Additionally, you may buy individual boxes of fruits directly from the Farmer to your door 🌱!

Well-packed deliveries usually on the date stated, my daughter said the organic mangos were the best she'd ever tasted

I use Crowdfarming when I want the best - the best olive oil, chocolate, coffee, parmesan, lentils, beans, flour, sea-salt, buckwheat, apples, avocados, oranges, and lots more - the quality is superb, deliveries prompt and timely, and the prices reasonable. AND you have the satisfaction of knowing you are buying directly from small, organic farmers. (When I say "the best", I mean it!)

Clear advice about storage. Some fruit ready to eat, others to ripen so can enjoy over a few weeks.

We ordered mangoes more than 10 times now, and we will continue to do so. Quality of the fruit and of the service is outstanding! Totally recommended!

What makes CrowdFarming special for me is the connection to the people who grow my food and the opportunity to support them directly. Regenerative farming is particularly important to me because I want my food choices to contribute to healthier soils, biodiversity, and the long-term care of the land.
Trust is a big part of what makes this experience fulfilling. The newsletters and updates about deliveries, conditions in the fields, and the support farmers need give me a sense of transparency and openness. Hearing about the challenges as well as the successes helps build that trust.
I appreciate seeing the values communicated through practical details, too, such as the thoughtful packaging and encouragement to reuse it wherever possible.
That sense of integrity and care makes buying food feel more personal, meaningful, and connected to what matters to me.

I really enjoy supporting CrowdFarming not only because I usually buy organic fruit and vegetables but because I like reading all the stories about the individual growers. A lot of them are young people taking over farms from their parents and starting with new ideas. It's great to hear about this.
Delivery is professionally managed. The quality of the produce is top class. I recently bought mangoes and I've never tasted such sweet juicy ones. Looking forward to my box of organic lemons now!

I have been a customer for 5 years with about 300 orders placed.
PROS
• Great concept: A wonderful idea to connect farmers directly with customers.
• Product quality: The produce and products are mostly of high quality, with a lot of biodynamic and regenerative agriculture options.
• Packaging: Packaging has massively improved over time.
• Delivery: DHL is a reliable carrier.
• Refunds: I have no issues with claiming refunds, which is the only reason why I'm still ordering from CF, despite an ever-worsening UX and a more limited selection of products.
CONS
• Poor navigation: In the order details, I can't click through directly to the product page.
• Unannounced changes: CF often changes delivery dates without previos email notice.
• Rigid system: When CF changes the delivery date of my order and I don't notice it until it is already "in preparation", they claim they can't do anything to stop it. This happens even if I inform them I will be on holiday and unable to receive the package.
• Email spam: Instead of sending important emails about order changes, they send useless emails about products that are not even available in my country, or about product details and storage. This information is usually already available in the product description on the website, so there is no need to bomb customers with unnecessary emails. I know about unsubscribe option, but I want to know about new farmers and I can't choose subscription only for this specific case.
• Shrinking selection: The selection of fresh produce available for my country has massively decreased; mostly pantry items are available, even during the summer high season.
• Geographical restrictions: Many items are available only in certain countries. For example, there are products available in Austria but not in Slovakia, even though my house lies just 7 km from the border.
• Underweight products: I have to weigh products when they arrive because the actual weight is often less than declared. It used to be standard practice for farmers to add one or two extra pieces of fruit or veggies just in case some were damaged during transport. This is absolutely not the case anymore—quite the contrary.
• Missing information: The approximate ratio in mixed boxes is often missing from the description on the website.
• No certification filter: I usually prefer Demeter products, but it is no longer possible to search and filter products according to their certification. Customer service gave me a very strange and unclear explanation: "For legal reasons, we have removed the Demeter certification mention from our website."
• Terrible customer service: The weakest link in CF is definitely their almost non-existent customer service. Email answers, if any, are often automated and not helpful at all. They seem to be too busy responding to reviews on Google or Trustpilot to find time to answer emails sent to their own customer service address (hello[at]crowdfarm.....). Even right now, I am waiting for two replies to my emails regarding the orders.
• Unwanted product substitutions: On the day of delivery for my three packages of Lady Jane mangoes, CF informed me via email that they had sent the Kent variety instead. Lady Jane has a very different flavor profile and is more expensive than regular varieties. I had ordered the Lady Jane mangoes months in advance and was excited to get them, as they are my absolute favorite mango variety.
• Lack of communication: There is a huge lack of communication when CF changes your order.
• System mess: CF has a chaotic internal system. I ordered a mixed box of mangoes and various citrus fruits, but they emailed me an order cancellation for a "caviar lime box" which I had never even ordered.
• Changing order titles: CF changes the titles of orders. When I order a specific product—for example, a particular variety like "Sensation mango"—I have to take screenshots because in my order history, the title is reduced to just "mango". Alternatively, they send a different box description in the email confirmation compared to what is shown on the website.
• Worse adoption model: CF changed the adoption format to regular deliveries. I preferred the previous model, where I adopted a specific number of boxes and decided for myself when I needed them during the season.
• No loyalty recognition: CF has absolutely no idea whether you are a loyal, long-term customer or if you have only made two or three orders.
• Missing features: I would appreciate having a "watchdog" (restock notification) function.

The quality of the produce is the reason I continue ordering through this website. However, delicate fruit usually gets damaged during transport and the delivery dates stated when ordering are unreliable, so I only order when I will be at home two weeks before and after the initial delivery date.

Great fruit, both good for the environment and for your own health. And it always tastes the best! Also great service and very convenient that the boxes come to our doorstep.

Received pomegranates from Gabriel Úrculo, La Florentina through Crowdfarming. I realise my judgment is not fair for most farmers, but this one got the crown. All pomegranates were small, unripe, sour and simply not consumable - I had to throw the entire box in the container. I filed a complaint to Crowdfarming, no reply as well

I have subscribed to a monthly delivery from Crowdfarming for a few years now. We get information well ahead and have the possibility to change some of the contents according to our preferences or to skip the following month's delivery. We love to receive the fresh fruits every month! I also appreciate the opportunity to support young organic farmers. We need more of those!

The produce I’ve received in my small mixed fruit box has been delicious and full of flavour. It’s a pleasure to order through CrowdFarming and support organic growers without the influence of multinationals and the use of plastic. Good Job!

The website is informative and easy to use. The information on each producer and their harvests in terms of varieties and availability is very helpful in planning orders.
The quality of the produce has been eye-openingly good for flavour and quality.
There have been some glitches in delivery, but this purely due to the carrier at the delivery end.

Crowdfarming have created a brilliant system connecting buyers with organic farmers in europe. The farmers get a decent wage for their work and we get the best, freshest organic produce. You will not taste avocados like this from any supermarket or store in the uk!
