GO offering excellent deals! I picked up some Yeti flasks from the Penrith store at excellent discount prices. Yeti gear is top end so it’s not easy to find a deal. The premium flasks were put to the test in freezing conditions on the fells and kept the soup piping hot.

The staff in the Penrith store are always supper helpful. All in all a great shopping experience.

I recently purchased a Paramo jacket from Go Outdoors, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. It’s a fantastic piece of outdoor gear—lightweight, weatherproof, and rather stylish! I’ve put the jacket to the test on Grisedale Pike in the grimmest of weather and the jacket performed brilliantly.

A special shoutout to Graeme, the local rambler at the store, who went above and beyond with his outstanding service helping my choose the right jacket. Go Outdoors Penrith is always a great place to shop.

6 weeks after returning my items I am still waiting for a refund. The comms are terrible and the staff have no clue. Each message is a standard email so there appears to be little human interaction. Please beware, if your item isn’t right for you, the returns process will be a nightmare. I am owed over £300 and having to pursue the money from my credit card company. The cheap prices are tempting but I would never use Alpine Trek in future.

Following a return I have been chasing my refund for 3 weeks. In response to my emails chasing payment. Alpinetrek send a standard respond saying delays in refunds are due to Brexit. The service is really terrible. This is a European firm that is not set up to operate efficiently in the UK. I am now having to recover the money from my credit card company.

Ordered almost 500 pounds of clothing. Was left on the door step by Evri in public view. Both Alpine Trek and Evri didn’t deal with the issue, luckily I managed to get a friend to get the items before they were stolen. I Bri and Alpinetrek referred me to chatbots and no reply emails so zero customer service. Returning items is very slow. I’m told it takes at least 3 weeks for a refund due to Brexit and I’m still waiting. I saved a few quick using Alpinetrek and paid a much bigger price for the terrible service and inconvenience.

I had a great shopping experience at GO Outdoors Penrith, thanks to Bob, one of the sales staff. I needed help choosing the right pan adaptor for my MSR Jetboil, and Bob was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He patiently explained the options, helping me find the right adapter to make my pans and MSR jet boil compatible.

The overall experience in the Penrith store is always good. I highly recommend GO Outdoors, especially if you need expert advice like I got from Bob.

GO is the best place in the UK for outdoor gear. I bought the MSR Jetboil, an essential piece of gear for any serious peak bagger. Lightweight, efficient, and fast, it’s perfect for making hot meals or drinks during demanding hikes. I also purchased a selection of Firepot meals which are really delicious and essential fuel for a full day or overnight camp on the mountain. The service at GO is always excellent and I’ll be sure to return to stock up for my next peak bagging adventure.

Brilliant service. I recently had an issue with the cleats on my Shimano shoes, and Sigma Sports' customer service was exceptional in resolving it. They provide a replacement part and were prompt, attentive, and ensured everything was sorted quickly and efficiently via their WhatsApp help function. Their combination of excellent service and great value makes them a standout retailer. I highly recommend Sigma Sports for anyone looking for top-notch support and competitive pricing!

I recently had the joy of purchasing a pair of Scarpa hiking shoes from GO. As always the service is excellent, and I must commend Emily for her advice and exceptional service. She was knowledgeable, patient, and helped me find the perfect shoe and insoles for my outdoor adventures scaling the Wainwrights.

I bought a Nintendo Switch. The buying experience was good and I signed up for a game pass elite. Then it all went wrong. I spent over 400 pounds so was due a decent credit towards my next purchase. The rewards points are not registered and neither the store or the live chat can help. The matter has been escalated and I’m yet to receive a reply. Game pass seems to be a rip off and to make matters worse Game charge to be a member. Jokers!

I have used Twickets to sell in the past and thought it was a good platform until I sold to a fraudulent buyer. The buyer paid for the tickets and via PayPal. He attended the gig and later claimed one ticket didn’t work and PayPal refunded him for all tickets. Twickets could do nothing to help and I lost the full amount. The buyer knows the scam and it’s a massive loophole in the Twickets platform. So sellers be aware, you get no guarantee and may loose the full amount of your sale price if using PayPal. It’s all rigged in favour of the buyer.

Twickets you need to have some degree of seller protection too!

Lamona dishwasher broke down after 15 months. Despite the dishwasher register under warranty Lomana are unwilling to book an engineer without me providing the howdens invoice number. Since I bought the house new, I never received an howdens invoice and now I’m forced to pursue a paper trail. The dishwasher should be covered by warranty but Lamona customer service will not book a repair. Buy cheap, buy twice!

I received an annual subscription as a gift. However to access my gift, I had to provide my credit card to the school of photography. In my option this is not suitable as a gift when the person receiving the gift has to provide their credit card. Clearly this is a tactic so an auto annual renewal can be taken from the card.

Dreadful service from a company that has no regard for its customers. I ordered nearly 250 pounds of items in the Black Friday sale. The items were never delivered and I am now battling with my credit card company to get a refund. North Face have made no attempt to resolve the issue and will not refund my money. The company will not event reply to emails. Be aware of these scammers!

Have been a customer of CVD for 6 years. I’m buying a new vehicle so I needed to cancel a policy on current vehicle. CVD admin charges were around 150 pounds. A complete rip off and zero loyalty. Naturally I won’t be approaching CVD for insurance in future.
