Excellence Defined

Our sofa, armchairs and ottoman are FABULOUS! I love that they can customise dimensions for you and their services from beginning to end has been astonishingly good. Duncan and Zak who delivered our order were extremely polite and respectful, taking great care of our property, installation and care instructions. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The products look cheap and aren’t good value for the price tag. I’d have returned one set of stems but cannot face the administrative burden of doing it.

Review of allplants

allplants has been a lifesaver

allplants has been a lifesaver for me. I love how healthy and tasty the meals are, the Buddha Bowls score especially high for me on the Zoe app, so it's good to know I am eating lots of plants and feeding my gut microbiome! I love cooking, but don't always have the time to because I work full time and have young kids, so this is my guilt free meal hack. I eat allplants for lunch on a work from home day or for dinner with my husband on an evening when I am too frazzled to cook. He also likes it because the meals are high in protein and fit with his gym/meal planning.

Buyer beware - Chinese company with very punitive returns policy - still no refund

Like other reviews - dresses ordered with a confirmed 10-15 day delivery lead time. They arrived more than 25 days after order, too late for my event, despite being posted from a north London warehouse address. Dresses were far smaller than standard Uk sizes so had to go back. Returns accepted only back to China, which entailed £80 postage fee. More than a month after returning, via tracked signed for delivery, still no refund. I will also be pursuing a refund via my credit card company. Terrible Chinese company. Buyer beware.

If you’re wondering about the 4 and 5 star reviews… Ignore them. They are clearly fake and follow the same pattern of “evoking memories, evoking joy, positive compliments” - you can see they are written by bots or Google translate, probably added by Zapaka to boost their ratings and come across as a legitimate company.

Food parcel was left in a unapproved…

Food parcel was left in a unapproved place where we couldn’t see it with no note or notification and the whole lot has defrosted and been lost. Over £60 of product, completely ruined.

I would really like to have a look into this for you. Please could you email trustpilot@yodel.co.uk with the full name on the parcel, delivery address with postcode, contact & tracking number, along with a link to the review? Thank you, Yodel Team.

Review of Happy Beds

Buyer Beware - part with your money at your own risk

I hope my review will inform future potential buyers before they make a purchase. I will keep it factual and emotion free.

Happy Beds is a retailer and relies on the manufacturers they source from. Happy Beds markets the beds as ready for shipping (7-10 days in most cases), and takes orders and payment from customers on the spot. Happy Beds pursues a highly targeted remarketing strategy, stating “soon to end” discounts (which never do end) to hook shoppers into making a purchase.

In my case, I placed an order at the end of August 2021 for £740, told to expect the bed within 7-10 days, and was charged to my credit card the same day. It is now end of December and I’m yet to receive my order until 7th January at the earliest.

Customer Service is friendly enough, but operate with limited to no visibility on where the stock is or why it is delayed. I was told quite quickly after placing my order that it would be delayed to early November, which was disappointing but I decided to wait. It was then delayed another 2-weeks. I was told “because stock is delayed at the port”. This then changed to “it hasn’t been made yet” and won’t be dispatched until January at the soonest. In the meantime Happy Beds were marketing (and presumably taking orders and payment) for the same bed and promising to deliver it before Christmas, in the full knowledge the bed did not exist yet and is still to be made (somewhere in Asia). I did raise this with their Customer Service team - given it is a trading standards issue - and in fairness to them they have now changed the delivery date availability on the product.

It is worth noting that I have been offered my money back if I cancel the order. The reason I have not done this is because I have very specific dimensions to fit the bed to, and this bed - unlike all the others I’ve looked at - meets the dimensions I have.

So I write this as a “buyer beware” review. I wait in hope that this very specific sized bed will be delivered as restated at the start of January 2022, however I must say my expectations that this will transpire are very low. In the meantime I have a 3 year old sleeping on the floor, very hopeful she will have a bed soon.

UPDATE: automatically generated email received from Happy Beds on 29 December ‘21 to inform me the product will be further delayed until at least 1st Feb. A separate retailer who sells the same product has informed me the earliest will be 28th Feb (I don’t know why Happy Beds does not have the same information). I am at a loss as to why Happy Beds took my order back in August when the product does not yet exist and will be more than 6 months until it is made/dispatched. I’ve requested a refund.

My advice to Happy Beds would be to compensate their customers for the inconvenience and to relinquish the product/manufacturer from their supplier list. I do know there’s global supply chain disruption because I work in the industry, however not to this extent and with such a lack of transparency.

Good Afternoon

Thank you for your email and we do sincerely apologise for the further delay with your order

Unfortunately as we are online retail only, we rely heavily on third party suppliers, due to the unprecedented times at the moment suppliers are receiving notifications of delays, this regrettably is something beyond theirs or our control

We appreciate you may no longer be able to wait for the goods and completely understand should you wish to cancel

If you could kindly confirm how you would like to proceed and we will action accordingly - should you cancel, the refund will be processed and the money will appear in your account within 5-7 working days

Kind Regards

Tina

Delivery service a complete failure, nice teleohone staff

For a simple low cost order, the delivery mgmt was a disaster.

This is the order of events:
- order placed online for delivery on Tues 2nd
- Tues 2nd: I took the day off to receive delivery, by 6:45pm the product had not arrived, I called the service center & was told the product had not been loaded for dispatch! Delivery re-arranged for Saturday 6th.
- Weds 3rd: received SMS to say delivery would be made on that day - I was not in so could not accept it. I rang the service center again, they apologised, it was a mistake in the system, so MyYodel returned the product to the dispatch center
- Sat 6th: delivery received! unfortunately one of the two mirrors was dropped by the delivery man, breaking it. I cancelled the delivery of a new one.
