Review of Drive On Holidays

The rental place is NOT in the airport

The rental place is NOT in the airport, despite what might be indicated. It is a 10 mins shuttle bus away that comes every 20 mins. Once you get there, the queue is IMMENSE. Not a good start at all.

Hopefully the rest of the experience is better … but I won’t be booking through Booking.com again.

Review of GB Liners Limited

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Extremely disappointing and borderline traumatising

I chose GB Liners after having compared them extensively with 6 other removal companies as I was moving as a single woman between UK and France and I wanted to ensure the removal company would take good care of my belongings.
Sadly the experience was borderline traumatising. Not only did they loose some articles, they also damaged quite a few and the team onsite were rude and disagreable. They admited to much of this and partly reimbursed me for the damage and losses, but the worst part is that they irrevoacly damaged my one valuable armchair and then lied about how this might have happend in order not to refund me for the cost of having it recovered. A move is bad enough, especially between countries, even worse as a single woman, but to be treated this way and basically being told that I was the person lying after they had damaged so many of my belongings was truly shocking.

We are always disappointed when we get a low review score and I'm sorry that Ms Ward rates us so badly. The delivery was to an 11th floor property in Paris and unfortunately the lift was so small that some goods had to be carried up the stairs by our staff. It is true to say we failed to deliver a picture initially but this was delivered later and so I don't think the allegation of "losing articles" is true. Similarly an allegation was made that we had damaged an armchair but we suggested the damage was consistent with the use of a knife by the client to remove our packing material, a view that was supported by the Ombudsman service.

Review of John Lewis

3 weeks with no solution given to replace a product damaged in transit.

I ordered a large item from John Lewis that arrived severely damaged. I have sent over 4 emails, waited for 45 minutes before giving up to speak to someone and been on a half hour chat with someone else, but still to no avail and it's been three weeks!

Appalling customer service

I ordered a flat-packed wardrobe that arrived with several pieces missing or the wrong size. After several weeks of emailing and promises, only bits and pieces arrived, but never the full order. I am now left with a wardrobe that is only half built and they would not even come and take it away. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend to anyone.
