Elder Omdömen 

Marilyn has been with us three times and all I can say is she is a diamond. She looked after my wife who has later stage dementia and can sometimes make life difficult with compassion, understanding and outstanding care, which includes staying with my wife all night when she was admitted into hospital while I was away. She has worked far over and above her contract terms and I would not hesitate to highly recommend her to anyone who wants someone highly dedicated to her role.

Good value compared to some other care providers they provide quick responses to our requirements

I have had a great experience with Elder. 16 months ago I required a live in carer to care for my aunt. I contacted several care companies, Elder being one of them. I found them to be much more helpful and professional than other companies right from the start. The carer we chose was fantastic, and was an excellent carer, who is now a family friend. My aunt was very fond of her. Throughout the period of the care (16 months), I received occasional calls from a representative to check everything was okay with the care provided. Every member of staff I dealt with were both professional and very easy to deal with. Comparatively, Elder charge less than most care companies. I would highly recommend anyone looking for live in care for their loved one, to look no further than Elder.

I needed a carer at short notice while I had to be in hospital to look after my wife who has dementia.
I had never heard of Elder before and a search using AI came up with this company.
After comparing with others I decided they were the best for my circumstances.
They have been really good with excellent communication coupled with simplicity of contract vital at time of stress.
I would use them again.

Elder have been very easy to deal with, with very good communication, and were very good at providing us the means to get round the clock live-in care for my stepdad at very short notice. I have been very impressed with them, and recommend them without hesitation.

We’ve had several agencies and so far Elder has been the best. They have consistently sent us good caregivers. On an occasion when we didn’t get along with the Caregiver, a replacement was quickly found. I like the fact that you get to read a profile. You get to watch a video and you get to have a video chat with the person before you book them, which makes you feel a lot more confident compared to just reading a profile. The account handlers are courteous and they take their time to listen. They don’t make you feel rushed when you’ve got concerns, which allows time to find solutions and is much appreciated.

The quality of the carers

I have been using the services of Elder ,for my uncle, since November last year and I cannot speak highly enough of the care and compassion that all the carers (four up to now)
They provide 24/7 care permanently in his home as well as dealing with medical needs and emergencies,cooking,cleaning and running the house.
A big thankyou to Kondwani ,the long term carer and to Michelle,Sandy and BB for their fantastic work.
I would also like to offer huge thanks to Wura at Elder for keeping everything running smoothly at a very stressful time.

Overall an excellent idea. There aren't enough carers responding. The app is difficult to naviagate. Make sure you ask the carers if they cook from scratch or is it just ready meals? If you can get a family member to do the shopping. Likewise are they willing to clean and wash clothes.

It was remarkably easy to find a carer at short notice who has turned out to be very professional and effective. It was a little unclear (at first) how to find someone to cover holidays, but once we started navigating the first one, that was easy to organise too.

Elder made a thorough and comprehensive assessment of our needs and provided a professional and caring match.
They were always just a phone call / email away when any additional advice / support was needed.

I have found Elder to be an excellent service. The long-term carers have been wonderful and the service from Elder very supportive, transparent and fair.

All dealings with Elder were easy and the carer I enraged was excellent. If he was an example of their carer provision, I would be happy to recommend their service to anyone in the future.

I have used Elder on two occasions now to look after my 99 year old father and have them easy to deal with and better value than agencies. I believe the quality of carers has been better than those offered via an agency.

Elder is a great way to get introduced to carers they really do have some great staff they are always there to sort issues out or give advice

Elder have worked quickly and transparently to provide live-in carers for my elderly mother over the past 4 months.
