  • Deodorants are products which contain special anti-microbial agents which reduce the growth of bacteria such as Corynebacterium jeikeium or Staphylococcus epidermidis. Deodorants are therefore usually applied after cleaning the skin and remain there to develop their antibacterial effect in the long term.
  • WO 2013052454 A1 lists an overview of known polyquaternium polymers and their trade names.
  • WO 2016012420 A2 discloses that complex quaternary ammonium polymer compounds, which are known under the INCI nomenclature designation Polyquaternium-6, have a surprisingly strong deodorant or anti-microbial action against Corynebacterium jeikeium or Staphylococcus epidermidis.
