Definitions
- the present invention relates to a cosmetic cleansing preparation comprising polyquaternium-6 polymers, anionic surfactants and amphoteric and / or zwitterionic surfactants.
- the cleaning preparation allows effective deposition of anti-microbial polyquaternium-6 polymers on the skin.
- Cosmetic products are generally not only beautiful and attractive
- a key parameter is the removal and / or suppression of the growth of bacteria that adversely affect the appearance of the skin or cause unpleasant odors by breaking down odorless sweat.
- a well-known bacterium is Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), which promotes the formation of purulent blisters and pustules, especially on dry, chapped skin, as occurs in atopic dermatitis.
- S. aureus also produces bacterial
- the Corynebacterium jeikeium is one of the main causes of the typical
- Deodorants are products which contain special anti-microbial agents which reduce the growth of bacteria such as Corynebacterium jeikeium or Staphylococcus epidermidis. Deodorants are therefore usually applied after cleaning the skin and remain there to develop their antibacterial effect in the long term.
- WO 2013052454 A1 lists an overview of known polyquaternium polymers and their trade names.
- WO 2016012420 A2 discloses that complex quaternary ammonium polymer compounds, which are known under the INCI nomenclature designation Polyquaternium-6, have a surprisingly strong deodorant or anti-microbial action against Corynebacterium jeikeium or Staphylococcus epidermidis. In addition, it works
- Polyquaternium-6 is also anti-microbial against the growth of the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus. However, Polyquaternium-6 is not anti-adhesive and thus does not prevent the adhesion of bacteria to surfaces.
- Polyquaternium-6 is a polymeric quaternary ammonium salt formed from the homopolymerization of the diallyldimethylammonium chloride (DADMAC) monomer.
- DADMAC diallyldimethylammonium chloride
- polyquaternium-6 may be commercially available under the trade designation Flocare C106 from FA. SNF SAS (SNF COSMETICS).
- Washing the skin for an extended period of time will reduce bacterial growth.
- the cosmetic cleaning preparations contain mostly anionic surfactants.
- anionic surfactants In combination with cationic active ingredients, it is therefore possible, in particular with anionic surfactants, for complex formation and deactivation of the active ingredients.
- the interaction of the cationic active ingredients with anionic surfactants often leads to unstable or cloudy cosmetic preparations.
- the object of the present invention was to eliminate the disadvantages of the prior art and to provide in particular cosmetic cleansing preparations which allow an increased deposition of an antimicrobial active ingredient on the skin. Further, it is desirable if such cosmetic cleansing formulations have good foaming power and low haze effects.
- cosmetic cleansing preparations can be provided by the present invention which meet the requirements and do not have the described problems and disadvantages.
