Abstract
Jeans comprising seams (Pc) or other elements (Ρ', P") intended to mark and define the front vertical crease (P), and possibly also the rear vertical crease, of each leg in a definitive manner. The fabric (Α', A") of the trousers legs, at the level of each crease (P), is folded in such a way as to obtain two matching portions (Ρ', P") which are held together by means of a seam (Pc) in proximity to the external curve (P) of said two matching portions (Ρ', P").
Description
JEANS PANTS WITH CREASE MARKER
DESCRIPTION
This patent relates to garments and in particular relates to a new type of jeans pants. Pants are made of various materials and in various styles.
Depending on the type of pants, ironing is performed differently.
Basically there are two main types of ironing: with a front crease and a side crease. Ironing with the side crease, used for jeans and all casual pants, involves each pant leg being arranged and ironed with the front of the leg overlaying the back so that the two creases are on the outer side and on the inside of the pant leg, substantially along the lines of the inner and outer seams.
Ironing with a side crease is greatly facilitated by the side seams of the two parts of each leg of the pants.
However, some casual pants are ironed with a front crease, giving the casual pants a different and sought-after look.
Ironing with a front crease, used for formal pants, involves each leg of the pants arranged and ironed with the inner part of the leg overlaying the outer part of the leg so that the two creases are at the front and back of the pant leg.
Front crease ironing is not easy and has various difficulties including the correct placement of the fabric on the ironing board.
In fact, the only references on the pants that can be used are the two side seams of the leg that should be superimposed for the entire length of the leg itself.
Small differences in the placement of the fabric of the leg lead to the different positioning of the front and back creases. This may mean that, when the pants are worn, each crease is not linear but follows a curved, visible, and unaesthetic pattern.
When washed some fabrics lose the crease, while other fabrics retain some of the previous crease even after washing. If the fabric of each leg is not correctly aligned,
two parallel creases may be visible, the one obtained with the present ironing and the previous one.
It is the object of this patent to provide a new type of jean pants with crease marker. One purpose of the new pants is to facilitate ironing them with a front crease.
Another purpose of the new pants is to completely prevent a double crease after ironing.
A further purpose of the new pants is to maintain the front crease regardless of the type of ironing performed.
These and other purposes, direct and complementary, are achieved by new type of jeans pants with crease marker.
The new pants are made of jeans fabric, with a cut and style typical of jeans type pants.
Each leg of the pants comprises principally, as with pants of the known art, a front panel and a rear panel sewn together along the inner side and along the outer side of the leg. These seams of the two panels of each leg can be a simple type, that is, sewn with the two panels placed one on top of the other and then turned inside out, or they can be jeans with a flat fell seam, that is by folding and overlapping the folded edges of the two panels and making a double parallel seam.
On the front and back of each pant leg panel a vertical seam at the position of the crease is made.
In particular, this seam is made in such a way as to create a ribbing of the fabric according to the position and direction of the front and back crease of the pants. Basically, the fabric of each panel is folded along the position of the crease and a vertical seam is made near the curve of the creased fabric, parallel to the curve of the folded fabric and for the entire length of the crease.
The pants thus constituted have, along the front panel and along the back panel of each leg, a fold or ribbing sewn along the entire line of the front and back crease of the leg.
Pants made with a crease marker in this way have significant advantages.
There is no difficulty in ironing and obtaining the front and back crease of each leg since the creases are already present.
There is no possibility of ending up with double creases because they are easily ironed with a front crease.
The features of the new jeans pants with a crease marker will be better explained by the following description with reference to the drawings, attached by way of a non-limiting example.
Figure 1 illustrates a detail of the front of a leg of the new jeans pants with a crease marker (P).
This detail illustrated in Fig. 1 is indicative and understood to also be valid for the back of a leg of the new pants.
The pant leg fabric (Α', A") is folded at the crease (P) so as to obtain two matching portions (Ρ', P") held together by a vertical seam (Pc).
This seam (Pc) is located near the external curve (P) of the folded fabric, parallel to the curve (P) of the folded fabric, and for the entire length of the crease (P).
Figures 2a and 2b respectively show a generally front view and a generally rear view of the new pants with creases (P).
These figures clearly show the front panels (A) and rear panels (D) which make up the legs of the new pants with seams (C) sewn on the inside and outside of each leg, and the crease (P) marker as shown in Figure 1.
In Figures 2a and 2b the creases (P) extend from the bottom hem of each leg almost to the waist or belt of the jeans, but in other embodiments the creases (P) may extend up to the waist or belt or for any lesser length.
Therefore, with reference to the preceding description and the attached drawings the following claims are made.
Claims
Jeans, characterized in that they comprise seams (Pc) or other elements (Ρ', P") intended to mark and define the front vertical crease (P) of each leg in a definitive manner.
Jeans according to claim 1, characterized in that they comprise seams (Pc) or other elements (Ρ', P") intended to mark and define the rear vertical crease (P) of each leg in a definitive manner.
Jeans according to claims 1, 2, characterized in that the fabric (Α', A") of the trousers legs, at the level of each crease (P), is folded in such a way as to obtain two matching portions (Ρ', P") which are held together.
