Abstract

The present invention relates to the performance of transport operations involving vessels and related devices, and concerns an instrument for propulsion by means of muscular power, specifically an articulated oar with an internal mechanism in the handle. The oar contains a concentric shaft that is manipulated by a rigid perpendicular handle that allows, by means of a slot in the tube of the oar, the shaft to move so that, by means of a channel, same transfers movement to the end of the paddle, which, by means of a joint, allows the paddle to be secured or released in both directions and even secured for use as a conventional oar. The central shaft is repositioned by a spring.
