Definitions

  • the present invention relates to methods of preparing fatty food or feed pellets, food or feed pellets per se, pellet containing compositions and uses of pellets.
  • Food and feed pellets can contain a variety of in ⁇ halt materials such as fats, starch and proteins. Physiologically particularly valuable are fats containing omega-3 fatty acids. There is thus a need for pellets with the highest possible proportion of such fatty acids. Such fatty acids are contained in oilseeds. For example, flaxseed is about 50% by weight of fat, with 70% by weight of it being omega-3 fatty acids.
