Abstract

The present invention relates to mixture extracts of Taxus cuspidata and mulberry tree or mixture extracts of Taxus cuspidate, mulberry tree and pine needles, which can be used as therapeutic agents for diabetes or hypertension. Pine needles, Morus bark, which is the bark of the root of the mulberry tree, or leaves and stems of the mulberry tree have been known to be effective against diabetes or hypertension, however, the first use of Taxus cuspidate as a therapeutic agent for diabetes or hypertension is described in the present invention. The mixture extracts of Taxus cuspidata and of mulberry tree or the mixture extracts of Taxus cuspidate, mulberry tree and pine needles according to the present invention exhibit remarkably superior effects against diabetes or hypertension in animals or humans as compared to pure mulberry tree or pine needle extract.
