Abstract

 本発明は、メタクリル酸を高選択率で製造できるメタクリル酸製造用触媒、その製造方法、およびこの触媒を用いたメタクリル酸の製造方法を提供する。本発明では、水中に少なくともモリブデン原料およびX元素の原料を添加して、ヘテロポリ酸を含む水性スラリーまたは水溶液を調製し、その水性スラリーまたは水溶液にアルカリ金属化合物を添加して、ヘテロポリ酸の少なくとも一部がアルカリ金属塩になったヘテロポリ酸塩を析出させた後、リン原料を添加することで、リン元素、モリブデン元素、X元素(ケイ素、チタン、ゲルマニウム、ヒ素、アンチモンおよびセリウムからなる群より選ばれた少なくとも1種類の元素)およびアルカリ金属元素を含む触媒を製造し、メタクリル酸の製造に用いる。
