Abstract

La présente invention trouve une application dans le domaine de la médecine et concerne plus particulièrement des dispositifs d'immobilisation temporaires et jetables du type attelles orthopédiques utilisés pour les soins des patients lors de l'étape préhospitalière et de premiers soins. Spécifiquement, les dispositifs selon la présente invention permettent d'immobiliser certaines parties du corps des patients telles que le cou, la jambe, le bras, l'avant-bras et la main, lorsque lesdits membres présentent une lésion, pour ainsi réduire le risque d'occasionner une lésion plus grave ou des complications ultérieures. Les dispositifs d'immobilisation selon la présente invention sont plus économiques que les dispositifs actuellement disponibles, étant donné qu'ils sont formés de matériaux peu coûteux; en outre, du fait de leur caractère jetable, ils diminuent considérablement les risques d'infection étant donné qu'ils ne sont pas utilisés pour différents patients; et en dernier lieu, ils sont ergonomiques, ce qui réduit considérablement la gêne et l'inconfort pour les patients.
