Abstract

The invention relates to medical engineering, in particular to devices for individually introducing powdery medicinal preparations into the respiratory tracts and the lungs of a human being, i.e., to powder inhalators. The aim of the invention is to design a powder inhalator which is a dosing and easily used inhalator and which makes it possible to simultaneously introduce two active components into the patient lungs in an effective and regulated manner, said active components being stored in the insulated sections of a container. The inventive powder inhalator comprises a body which can be covered with a jacket, is provided with openings which are used for air intake and aerosol exit and are interconnected by an air duct comprising two opposite accelerating channels, each of which is connected to a disperser. The powder inhalator also comprises a powder container and a dozer in the form of a movable plate with two measuring orifices shifted in relation to each other at a rotation angle of 90°. Said powder inhalator differs in that the container consists of two insulated sections, in that each section is provided with a powder supplying orifice, in that the movable plate of the dozer is additionally provided with two measuring orifices which are diametrically opposite in such a way that when the movable plate of the doser is turned at an angle of 90° in one of the directions for supplying a powder portion or when said plate is turned at an angle of 90° in the opposite direction for supplying the next powder portion, the two of the measuring orifices are placed under the orifices of the two section of the container and the two other measuring orifices are placed at the bases of the two accelerating channels.
