Abstract

 本発明は、強度と柔軟性に優れ、縫合糸にした時の結節点がタイトになりほどけにくい(結紮安定性に優れた)グリコリド/ε-カプロラクトン共重合体及びその製法を提供する。また、該共重合体を用いた縫合糸を提供する。グリコリド単位及びε-カプロラクトン単位をモル比70:30~80:20の範囲で含むグリコリド/ε-カプロラクトン共重合体であって、該共重合体の1H-NMR(溶媒:1,1,1,3,3,3-ヘキサフルオロイソプロパノール)におけるδ4.09~4.17のシグナル(A)とδ4.20~4.30のシグナル(B)の積分比(B/A)が1~10であり、グリコリド単位及びε-カプロラクトン単位の合計モル量に対して炭素数5以下のジオール化合物を0.1~0.4mol%の範囲で含有することを特徴とする共重合体に関する。
