Abstract

　本発明は、強度と柔軟性に優れ、縫合糸にした時の結節点がタイトになりほどけにくい（結紮安定性に優れた）グリコリド／ε－カプロラクトン共重合体及びその製法を提供する。また、該共重合体を用いた縫合糸を提供する。グリコリド単位及びε－カプロラクトン単位をモル比７０：３０～８０：２０の範囲で含むグリコリド／ε－カプロラクトン共重合体であって、該共重合体の１Ｈ－ＮＭＲ（溶媒：1,1,1,3,3,3-ヘキサフルオロイソプロパノール）におけるδ４．０９～４．１７のシグナル（Ａ）とδ４．２０～４．３０のシグナル（Ｂ）の積分比（Ｂ／Ａ）が１～１０であり、グリコリド単位及びε－カプロラクトン単位の合計モル量に対して炭素数５以下のジオール化合物を0.1～0.4mol%の範囲で含有することを特徴とする共重合体に関する。
