Abstract

L'invention concerne un copolymère glycolide/ε-caprolactone qui a d'excellentes propriétés de résistance et de flexibilité et qui peut donner des nœuds qui sont serrés et se desserrent peu (à savoir, qui ont une excellente stabilité de ligature) lorsqu'ils sont utilisés comme suture; un procédé de fabrication de ce copolymère; et des sutures faites à l'aide de celui-ci. L'invention porte sur un copolymère glycolide/ε-caprolactone qui comprend des unités glycolide et des unités ε-caprolactone à un rapport molaire de 70 : 30 à 80 : 20, et qui est caractérisé par le fait que en RMN 1H (solvant : 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoroisopropanol), le rapport de valeur de signal intégré (B/A) d'un signal (B) dans une plage δ de 4,20 à 4,30 à un signal (A) dans une plage δ de 4,09 à 4,17 est de 1 à 10, et que le copolymère contient un diol ayant cinq atomes de carbone ou moins dans une quantité de 0,1 à 0,4 % en moles sur la base de la quantité molaire totale d'unités glycolide et d'unités ε-caprolactone.
