Abstract

L'invention porte sur un film à polarisation elliptique long ayant une excellente productivité de fabrication et d'excellentes caractéristiques d'angle de vision lorsqu'il est utilisé pour un dispositif d'affichage d'image et une excellente stabilité de couleur lorsqu'il est stocké dans un environnement à température élevée et à humidité élevée. L'invention porte également sur un film à différence de phase long nécessaire pour fournir un tel film à polarisation elliptique long. De plus, l'invention porte également sur un dispositif d'affichage d'image utilisant une plaque de polarisation elliptique découpée à partir du film à polarisation elliptique. Le film à différence de phase long est disposé par agencement d'une couche à cristaux liquides verticalement alignée sur un film de matériau de base long composé d'une résine transparente. L'angle formé par l'axe de phase retardé dans la surface du film de matériau de base et la direction longitudinale du film est de 10-80°.
