Abstract

 p型熱電変換材料とn型熱電変換材料間の接触抵抗が低く、かつ、酸化による劣化がなく、高温まで使用することが可能な熱電変換素子、熱電変換モジュール、および熱電変換素子の製造方法を提供する。  p型酸化物熱電変換材料11として、層状ペロブスカイト構造である組成式:A2BO4(Aは少なくともLaを含み、Bは少なくともCuを含む1種または複数種の元素)で表される物質を主たる成分とする材料を用い、n型酸化物熱電変換材料12として、層状ペロブスカイト構造である組成式:D2EO4(DはPr、Nd、Sm、Gdの少なくとも1種を含み、Eは少なくともCuを含む1種または複数種の元素)で表される物質を主たる成分とする材料を用いる。  p型酸化物熱電変換材料と、n型酸化物熱電変換材料と、複合絶縁材料13とを共焼結させる。  複合絶縁材料を構成するガラスとして、ガラス軟化点が550~750°C以上のものを用いる。
