Abstract

Disclosed is a method for producing RNA by using a microorganism belonging to the genus Rhodovulum, which comprises the following steps (1) to (3): (1) transforming the microorganism with an expression vector carrying DNA capable of transcribing the RNA, thereby producing a transformant; (2) culturing the transformant; and (3) collecting the RNA produced outside of the cell of the microorganism. Also disclosed is a novel promoter.
