Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un verre plat, un appareil permettant de former une couche tampon de verre plat et un équipement de production de verre plat qui entraîne une inhibition de l'occurrence de défauts à la place du moyen de formation de couche classique utilisant du SO2. Le procédé de production d'un verre plat est un procédé comprenant l'étape de formation consistant à former un ruban de verre (6) tout en apportant en continu du verre fondu (5) sur la surface de bain horizontale (1b) de la cuve de métal fondu (1), recevoir un métal fondu et la lente étape de refroidissement consistant à transporter le ruban de verre (6) dans un four à refroidissement lent (3) pour effectuer de cette façon un lent refroidissement, caractérisé en ce que, dans une étape postérieure à l'étape de formation, le ruban de verre (6) au niveau de sa surface inférieure (6a) est doté d'une couche tampon d'un agent prévenant l'occurrence de défauts.
