Abstract
A compound which specifically reacts with a phosphatase, has sufficiently high fluorescence intensity, and gives a fluorescent spectrum or excitation spectrum having a sufficient shift in such a degree that a ratiometric measurement can be made. The compound is a phosphocoumarin derivative represented by the general formula (I) or a salt thereof. (I) In the formula, one of R1 and R2 is hydrogen and the other is a group represented by the formula (wherein n is an integer of 1-4).
