Abstract
The invention relates to a method for determining a direction of intervention of a tool and performing the tool intervention. Said method comprises the following steps: a. a geometrically predetermined reference body is mounted on the workpiece that is to be machined; b. at least two images, e.g. 2 X-ray images or ultrasound images, on which the geometry of the workpiece to be machined and the reference features of the reference body are reproduced, are created from different solid angles by means of imaging processes; c. direction coordinates are calculated starting from the three-dimensional position of the reference body and the space coordinates of the workpiece volume that is to be machined, i.e. the material that is to be removed from, modified, or added to the workpiece; d. a tool guide is provided which is monolithically connected to the reference body or can be mounted on the reference body in only one defined and known positional relation; e. the tool guide is adjusted by means of an adjusting device, starting from the direction coordinates determined in step c; f. the adjusted tool guide is connected to the coupling piece for the reference body; and g. the tool is placed against the tool guide, and the machining process is carried out.
