Abstract

A method for the application of thin-layer metallic slags to an endless circulating conveyor belt (2) is disclosed, whereby the molten slag is filled in an intermediate chamber (3) which may be heated by means of a burner (18) and then poured onto the conveyor belt (2), optionally being dosed by means of a distributor (20). According to the invention, advantageous operating conditions may be achieved, whereby the rotationally symmetrical intermediate vessel (3) is rotated about the rotation axis thereof after tilting about a horizontal tilting axis (6) for the heating of the charged slag by means of the burner (18), before the slag, pre-heated to a pre-determined temperature is poured from the filling opening (4) in a dosed manner, by a further tilting of the intermediate vessel (3) about the horizontal tilting axis.
