Abstract

Une cellule d'affichage à cristaux liquides dans laquelle une paire de substrats dont l'un au moins possède une électrode transparente sur laquelle sont plaqués successivement un film d'électrode transparent, un film de protection d'électrode transparent et un film d'orientation, est disposée à un intervalle préétabli de sorte que les électrodes transparentes soient opposées l'une à l'autre, un cristal liquide est enfermé hermétiquement dans un espace situé entre les deux substrats comportant les électrodes transparentes, et l'espace sur la partie périphérique est scellé de manière étanche avec un produit de scellement. La résistance de surface d'une partie étanche composée du produit de scellement durci est comprise entre 1010 et 1013 Φ/<. Cette cellule d'affichage à cristaux liquides présente d'excellentes caractéristiques qui empêchent l'apparition, entre autres, de défauts visibles et d'irrégularités du dispositif d'affichage.
