Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a protective garment for the backside as well as the hip bone edges of especially a sportsman's (an athlete's) body, which garment comprises a schock absorbing part, designed to cover said body parts, when certain sports are practiced.
  • the object of the present invention is to overcome the above- mentioned drawbacks and disadvantages of known protective garments, designed to prevent injuries to the lower parts of the body.

  • Shield 1 comprises three parts, connected to each other, namely an intermediate part 2, the shape of which is a truncated osceles triangle, on the outer long sides of which two ear-like parts 3,4 are disposed.
  • Upper parts 18, 19 of said ear-like parts 3,4 are each one designed, when the garment is used, to protect the corresponding hip bone edge and intermediate part 2 is designed to protect the backside and its narrow end 15 is designed to fit tightly between the buttocks and in this way protect the caudal vertebra, which is often injured in falling.
