Abstract

The invention pertains to the transport engineering industry and relates more particularly to the air transportation systems for freight and passengers. Said transport system includes an overhead track mounted on transversal straps, the ends of which are secured to supports. In one embodiment, the overhead track is mounted on the ground; in other embodiments, it is suspended in its initial position at the required height. A wheel-fitted mean of transport, resting in its initial position by its bearing wheels on the overhead track, is provided with aerodynamic surface elements which generate subsequently, during the horizontal movement, a lifting force causing said mean of transport to be lifted above the overhead track, thereby alleviating it from the weight load.
