The invention relates to a process for obtaining feed for animal feed, preferably for feeding of marine flora and fauna, using the "compost" resulting from organic solid waste treatment processes.

Experts in environmental issues know well the problem of eliminating organic solid waste, both from the point of view of its storage and its disposal, for example by incinerator plants.

In fact, storage in landfills involves a risk of pollution that affects both the atmosphere, due to the gases generated during the decomposition of organic matter, and the filtration into aquifers located at groundwater levels close to them from leachate of stored waste.

Also, its elimination through incinerator plants, represents a very important risk of thermal and gaseous contamination.

Es por ello, que han surgido procedimientos paraThat is why procedures have emerged to

"compost" a partir de residuos sólidos orgánicos de origen urbano."compost" from organic solid waste of urban origin.

Antes de entrar en la descripción de la invención, ha de establecerse la definición de algunos términos que se utilizarán en adelante, de conformidad a lo siguiente:Before entering the description of the invention, the definition of some terms to be used hereinafter must be established, in accordance with the following:

El término "compost", cuando es aqui utilizado, se refiere esencialmente a la materia orgánica procedenteThe term "compost", when used herein, essentially refers to the organic matter from

HOJA DE SUSTITUCIÓN REGLA 26 de residuos sólidos urbanos antes de iniciarse su fermentación bacteriológica, pero que no excluye materia orgánica como una llamada pre-fermentación.SUBSTITUTE SHEET RULE 26 of solid urban waste before beginning its bacteriological fermentation, but that does not exclude organic matter as a so-called pre-fermentation.

When the term organic solid waste (MSW) is used here, it means all kinds of domestic and industrial waste.

The present invention is based on the recognition that "compost", resulting as the final product of said reuse processes, as organic matter, can be transformed by means of appropriate physical-chemical processes of decontamination and conditioning in animal feed feeds, especially marine flora and fauna.

According to the invention, the "compost" in a first operational stage, is subjected to a qualitative and quantitative bacteriological analysis and to determine the content of elements or compounds considered as contaminants and / or cumulative, then developing a stage of elimination thereof with sub-stages of physical treatment, for example, centrifugation, sieving, extraction, etc., and of chemical treatment, for example, of synthesis and combination (for example, reaction of heavy metals with organic or inorganic acid and precipitation of salts resulting), emulsion (separation of liquid phases with different densities), sedimentation, etc. Subsequently, a dehydration stage will be carried out to eliminate the H 2 0 content, the resulting product being subjected to successive stages of grinding and sieving and lyophilization and / or sterilization, so that a basic product or basic feed is obtained which optionally can be subjected to a treatment of addition of nutrients and / or oligo-elements or for direct application in obtaining compound feed. The aforementioned physical operations chemical synthesis and combination, emulsion, precipitation, dehydration, milling, sieving, lyophilization and sterilization, as well as the processes of bacteriological analysis and determination of elements and / or contaminating chemical compounds, which are indicated here for reference, are perfectly known by those skilled in the art so that by descriptive economics they are not described here in detail.

If these maximum permitted values are totally or partially exceeded, according to the invention, a treatment stage (2) is provided for removal of contaminants comprising a physical treatment sub-stage (2a), such as, for example, centrifugation, sieving, extraction, etc., and a sub-stage of chemical treatment (2b), for example, synthesis, emulsion, sedimentation, combination, etc.

According to the invention, the material so treated is subjected to a drying or dehydration step (3) to eliminate its H 2 0 content, for example, between preferred values of water content of 10 to 5% by weight, is say with a desiccation between 90 and 95%. This dehydration and subsequent grinding and / or sieving (4) of the resulting product, for example, to reach a particle size such that 90% of them pass through a 12mm mesh, facilitates the handling of the material.

In addition, in accordance with the invention and in order to improve the storage and temporary preservation of this product, a freeze-drying and / or sterilization stage is provided (5). This stage of sterilization it can be carried out advantageously, by applying, for example, ionizing electromagnetic radiation, such as gamma rays or even with UV radiation, or also thermally at temperatures comprised, for example, between 72 ° and 92 ° C.

Los RSU tratados conforme a lo anterior, tenían la composición que se representa en siguiente la tabla 2.The basic product obtained after steps 5 or 6, is a feed, optionally enriched with nutrients, which can be applied directly or as a basis for manufacturing compound feeds. According to the invention, either the basic feed (enriched or not), or the corresponding compound feed will be applied to add it to the seawater to feed its flora and fauna. Example In a MSW treatment plant, a primary qualification of the materials was carried out, as previously described, and subsequently in successive stages a separation of metals, including non-ferrous metals, glass and plastic papers. The RSUs treated in accordance with the above, had the composition shown in Table 2 below.
