Massage devices are already known comprising an active massage member controlled by an ultrasonic transducer supplied with alternating electric current by a high frequency current generator. In particular, the device described in patent FR-A-2,531,335 of the applicant includes an active massage member, in the form of a brush or comb, full or hollow to contain a liquid, this active massage member being coupled to a piezoelectric vibrating plate by means of a membrane located between the piezoelectrical plate and the massage member.
The present invention presents improvements made to this type of apparatus with a view to improving its performance and in particular making it possible to obtain a particularly effective cavitation effect when using a liquid for massage and / or cleaning. of a part of the human body. For this purpose this portable massage and cleaning device with ultrasonic vibration, comprising an elongated housing forming an anterior active part in which are housed massage means vibrating at an ultrasonic frequency, and a rear handle, the housing containing conductors for exciting the vibrating massage means from a high frequency current source, is characterized in that the vibrating massage means consist of a set of several individual transducers connected separately to the high frequency current source, by means of respective control buttons.

Figure 5 is a longitudinal sectional view of an alternative embodiment of the active front part of the device using removable massage members and connectable. FIG. 6 diagrammatically represents various forms of massage members and attachment systems. Figure 7 is a partial longitudinal sectional view of another alternative embodiment of the active front part of the massage device. The massage and cleaning device shown in Figures 1 and 2 comprises a housing 1 advantageously made in one piece from molded plastic. This housing 1 forms an elongated front active part 2, with an inverted U-shaped cross section, having a cavity 3 open at the bottom, and a rear handle 4 extending the front active part 2 towards the rear. In the cavity 3 are housed several transducers 5 located in the same plane and aligned, in the longitudinal direction of the device, in the lower opening 6 through which the cavity 3 communicates with the outside. Each transducer 5 is fixed in the opening 6 of the part front 2 of the housing 1, between the lower ends of the two lateral wings 2a, 2b of this front part 2, as can best be seen in FIG. 2. Each transducer 5 comprises a piezoelectric disc 7 which is connected to electrical conductors 8 which extend inside the housing 1, over the entire length thereof, up to the rear face of this housing from which they come out to be connected to a connection cord 9 leading to a generator high frequency current 10.
According to an alternative embodiment, the power supply to the massage device could be autonomous and the box 1 could then contain a source of electrical energy (rechargeable battery or accumulator) supplying the high frequency current generator 10 miniaturized so that it can be also housed in box 1.
As can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 2, each transducer 5 comprises, in addition to the piezoelectric pellet 7, a lower sonot rod 11, constituting an active vibrating massage member and an upper element 12, housed in the cavity 3 above the pellet 7 and acting as a counter-mass, the piezoelectric pellet 7 thus being sandwiched between the upper counter-mass 12 and the lower massage member 11, by being fixed to them this. Sonot rode 11 constituting each organ of active massage, extends towards the outside of the housing and has a generally elongated shape, converging v -. * - s its end 11a opposite to the piezoelectric pad 7. The use of such a long shape, the front of each transducer 5, and the counter-mass 12 at the rear of the piezoelectric pellet 6 makes it possible to eliminate the radial vibrations and to focus the ultrasonic wave produced at the point of contact of the end 11a of the vibrating massage member 11 with the part of the human body to be treated, while producing a cavitation effect of the liquid used for the treatment, along the active part.
The attachment of all the components of each transducer 5 can be carried out, for example, by gluing or else by mechanical fixing by means of a threaded rod 13, integral with the active lower massage member 11 and passing through the piezo pellet ¬ electric 7 and the rear counterweight 12, and a lock nut 13a screwed onto the upper end of the threaded rod 13. Such a configuration of the transducers makes it possible to obtain good distributed power without critical resonance effect and the overvoltage coefficient is thus very low.
According to a variant, each piezoelectric pellet 7 could be simply bonded to an active massage member 11, without the presence of a counter-mass 12. The active massage members can be full or hollow depending on the applications envisaged.
L'alimentation électrique des pastilles piézo¬ électriques 7 des transducteurs 5 est commandée par des boutons associés 14 prévus sur la face supérieure du boîtier 1, c'est-à-dire celle qui est opposée à la face où sont montés les transducteurs 5, dans la zone de jonction entre les parties antérieure 2 et postérieureThe electrical supply of the piezoelectric pads 7 of the transducers 5 is controlled by associated buttons 14 provided on the upper face of the housing 1, that is to say that which is opposite to the face where the transducers 5 are mounted, in the junction zone between the anterior 2 and posterior parts
Each of the transducers 5 is autonomous and can be ordered separately. It is thus possible to control the vibrations of the various transducers
Il est également possible de sélectionner à volonté les transducteurs 5 mis en service en fonction du traitement envisagé5, at the same ultrasonic frequency but with relative phase shifts or in phase opposition so as to obtain an optimal ultrasonic vibratory effect at the end 11a of each vibrating massage member 11. It is also possible to select at will the transducers 5 put into service according to the planned treatment
In the variant embodiment of the device shown in FIG. 3, each vibrating massage member 11 is hollow so as to form an internal cavity 28 and its side wall is pierced with a filling orifice 15, closable by a plug, allowing to introduce a liquid inside the vibrating massage organs, before a treatment of a part of the human body. Furthermore, the end 11a of each vibrating massage member 11 is pierced with an orifice liquid outlet 16 or irrigation orifice. Consequently, it is possible, with the apparatus represented in FIG. 3, to obtain an irrigation of a part of the human body to be treated, in particular of the scalp, and the cavitation of the liquid used for this irrigation. Each vibrating massage member 11 is advantageously fixed by a screwing device 17 to the central part of the associated transducer.
The hollow vibrating massage members 11 can all contain the same liquid and be vibrated simultaneously. However, they can also contain different liquids and then be selectively and / or successively vibrated to apply to the part of the human body to be treated different liquids during different phases of treatment.
According to a variant, irrigation can also be obtained by providing, between the transducers 5, orifices 18 connected, by a conduit 19 extending inside the housing 1, to an external source of liquid, such as a pump or ordinary water line.
Les broches 25 assurent l 'alimentation électrique de la pastille pi ézo-él ect rique 6 de chaque transducteur 5.In the alternative embodiment shown in FIG. 3a, each hollow vibrating massage member 11, similar to those shown in FIG. 3, is supplied with irrigation liquid by a conduit 19 ′, in communication with an external reservoir, not shown on the drawing. The conduit 19 'passes through the transducer 5 to open into the internal cavity 28 of the massage member 11. The various conduits 19' can supply the massage members 11 with identical or different irrigation liquids, depending on the treatment that we want to apply. Furthermore, although FIG. 3a shows a separate supply for each of the massage members 11, a supply duct 19 ′ can supply several of these massage members. In one embodiment, not shown in the drawing, the massage members may consist of solid elements, and the conduits 19 ′ will open directly into the irrigation orifice 16. In the alternative embodiment shown in the FIG. 5 the cavity 3 of the front active part 2 of the housing 1 of the massage device is closed, at its lower part, by a partition 21 for mounting the removable transducers 5, a partition in which are housed female terminals 22 connected to the conductors 8 of high frequency electric current supply. The partition 21 is extended downwards by vertical and transverse partition walls 23 which delimit between them compartments 24 intended to receive the various transducers 5. These transducers 5, yes are shown disconnected in FIG. 5, each comprise a pair of pins 25 intended to engage in respective female terminals 22, when a transducer 5 is inserted in its associated compartment 24. The pins 25 ensure the electrical supply of the piezoelectric pellet 6 of each transducer 5.
The massage member A, which has two teeth extending downward, has the shape best suited for cleaning the hair because it allows better cavitation. The member B has only one tooth extending downward, like the vibrating member C which has, itself at its upper part, a threaded part 17 allowing it to be fixed by screwing, as it has been described with reference to FIG. 3. The vibrating massage member D is hollow, it has a single tooth, and it has an outlet orifice 16 at its lower end. Finally, the vibrating massage member E is made up of two assembled parts, namely an upper base 26 and a lower tooth 27, this tooth 27 being fixed to the base 26 by screwing therein.
The base 26 and the tooth 27 are crossed by an irrigation pipe which opens into two neighboring irrigation orifices 16.
In the variant shown in Figure 7 the vibrating members 11 of the apparatus massage are not aligned but are staggered, that is to say they are aligned in two longitudinal rows, being offset longi tudinal from one row to another.
