DESIGN FOR A CARD-HOLDER.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,006, dated January 16, 1894.

Application filed October 14,1393. Serial No.488,170- Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, MINNIE '1. BALFOUR, of Augusta, in the county of Hancock and State of Illinois, have invented and prod need a new and original Design for Card Holders, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a plan, and Fig. 2, an edge view, forming a part of this disclosure.

The leading features of my design consist in a shield like ornamental body portion with ornamental holding arms extending upward and outward therefrom.

In said drawings, the letterA indicates the body portion having the curved edges a at the sides, and a central point I) at the top, giving the body the configuration of a shield. From the top of the body portion, two diverging arms D, D, project, such arms being 20 curved forward to form bowed portions at (l and the ends are curved forward as shown at e e. Thus the central portions and ends of the arms stand away from the surface on which the device is secured, While the body and inwardly curved portions of the arms at g g rest against said surface. The arms D, D, are of ornamental contour, giving the device an attractive and pleasing aspect.

Having thus described my design, what I claim is The design for a holder for cards, 850., substantiall y as shown and described.
