DESIGN-FOR A RAILWAY-RAIL.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design N6. 29,833, dated December 20, 1898. Application filed November 26, 1898. Serial No. 697,565- Teriii of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, GEORGE J. CAPEWELL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Hartford, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented a certain new and original Design for Railway- Rails, of which the following is a specification.

Of the accompanying drawings, to which reference is made and which form a part of this specification, Figure l is a plan of a short length of rail formed after my design, and Fig. 2 is a transverse section of the'rail that embodies my design.

As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of two fiat-faced treads 1, between which treads rises a vertical'web. 2, and from the outer edges of which treads depend sides 3, that have along their lower edges outwardly-extending flanges 4.

Having now described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for a railway-rail, as herein shown and described.
