Beit known that I, JOHN L. BERNECKER, of the city and county of' Saint Louis, in the State of Missouri, have originated and designed a new Design for a. Trade-Mark, of which the following is a. full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the annexed drawing, making a part of this specification.

My design consists of an eagle, with its wings spread, bearing upon its breast a shield, and holding in its talons two dnggers crossed, in combination with the ornaments aa and the letters L and B, and the conjunetive sign 85.

This design is intended to be used as an engravin dnggers, letters, and ornaments will have such breaks in them as may be neeessar n to the stencil or other plate by which the impression is made.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
