Be it known that I, WILLIAM Minor MARSHALL, of the city of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have originated and designed a new Medallion in basso-relieve, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying specimen, and making part of the specification.
The nature of the design is a medallion in plaster, or other material, in basso-relieve, being a. representation ofthe head and neck of General' Grant, said basso-relievo to be made of plaster or gilders composition, or other material, and placed on a gronnd-work of plaster, or velvet, or velvet paper, or on slvered glass, or glass colored with paint or other material. Said basso-relievo may also be bronzed, lacquered, gilt, or silvered, or otherwise finished and framed, or otherwise arranged' for display.
What I claim as my invention, and desire tol Asecure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a vmednllion in basso-relievo, as herein set forth and shown.
