DISINFECTING COMPOSITION I Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented Aug. 3, 1909.
To all whom it may concern: Be 1t.known that we, (1) ARTHUR LYDA, (2) TVTXTILLIAM VF. CUBBISON, and (3) ELMER C. ROBINSON, citizens of the United 1s retained in connection with the mouth States of America, residing at (1) and (2) New Castle, (3) Lowell'ville, in the county of (1) and (2) Lawrence, (3) Mahoning, and State of (1) and (2) Pennsylvania, (3) Ohio, have invented certain new and useful 11nprovements in Disinfecting Composition of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and useful disinfecting composition to be used particularly in connection with the mouth pieces or transmitters of telephones.
Our composition consists of the following in redients; combined in the proportions stated, VlS,
l\Ienthol 2dran1s. Thymol Zdrams. Oil of eucalyptus 2 drarns. Oil of sandalwoodt 1 dram. Oil of lavender- 2 drains.
Carbolic acid 1 ounce.
Paraformaldehyde. 1 ounce. Cumarin Qdrams.
Boracic acid 32 ounces.
thoroughly I The carbolic acidi The above ingredients when thoroughly mixed are adapted to eliminate germs in connection with the mouth pieces or transmitters of a telephone and the disinfectant piece or transmitter by a specially designed holder.
Having now described our invention. what we claim as new, is
1. The herein described disinfecting C0111- position, consisting of menthol, th vniol, oil of eucalyptus, oil of sandalwood, oil of lavender, carbolic acid, parafornialdehyde, cumarin, and boracic acid, substantially as described and for the purpose specified.
2. The herein described disinfecting composition consisting of menthol, two drams;
th niol, two dranis; oil of euca yptus, two
dran1s;. oil of sandalwood, one drain; oil of lavender, two drains; carbolic acid, one ounce; paraformaldel yde, one ounce; cumarin, two drains; and boracic acid, thiit -itwo ounces, substantially as described.
