The tube and piston may then be reciprocated to pump in the air through the passage 14 past the check valve 15. The valve chamber is then againscrewed into place to bring the seal ring 37 against the seat 38 and prevent escape of air. When it is desired to dispense liquid from the container, the spout is inserted into the seat in the valve plug 22 and the valve is then rotated toopen position to allow the discharge of liquid to a glass or other container.
T'he tapered fit of the spout with the valve plug makes a tight seal therewith before the pin 28 is entirely to the bottom of the notches 29, thus allowing for a close sealing fit even after wear has occurred.
What we claim as new is:
1. A container, a pump cylinder supported therein, an eduction tube extending through said cylinder to project below the same, a plunger on said tube within said cylinder, a cap on said cylinder sealing about said tube, an air passage through said cap, means on said plunger to seal said passage, means on said tube to reciprocate the same and means to latch said plunger into position to close said seal.
2. A container, a pump cylinder supported in sealing "engagement in said container, a cap at the inner end of said cylinder, an eduction tube extending through said cylinder and fitting slidably through said cap, a plunger on said tube within said cylinder, an outlet passage through said cap, a seat about the upper end of said passage, a sealing member on said plunger adapted to engage said seat, a valve chamber at the upper end of said tube, said valve chamber being adapted to be screwed into position to force said sealing member upon said seat.
3. A container, a pump cylinder supported in sealing engagement in said container, a cap at the inner end of said cylinder, an eduction tube extending through said cylinder and fitting slidably through said cap, a plunger on said tube within said cylinder, an outlet passage through said cap, a seat about the upper end of said passage, a sealing member on said plunger adapted to engage said seat, and means at the upper end of said tube associated with said cylinder to engage said tube in position with said sealing member closing said passage.

The combination of a container, a cylinder projecting therein and having a sealing engage- -ment therewith, a cap closing the inner end or said cylinder, an eduction tube extruding through said cylinder and said cap, an outlet passage from said cylinder to said container in said cap, a plunger on said tube within said cylinder, means whereby said tube and plunger may be reciprocated, and a check valve for said outlet passage comprising an elastic band held resiliently over the said outlet. 5. The combination of a container, a cylinder projecting therein and having a sealing engagement therewith, a cap closing the inner end of said cylinder, an eduction tube extruding through said cylinder and said cap, an outlet passage from said cylinder to said container in said cap, a plunger on saidtube within said cylinder, means whereby said tube and plunger may be reciprocated, a valve chamber secured to the upper end of said tube, a valve therein, and a dispensing spout on said chamber removably engaging in said chamber and adapted to rotatesaid valve, said valve chamber being detachably connected with said cylinder. r
6. A container, a pump cylinder supported in sealing engagement extending into said cylinder. an eduction tube extending through said cylinder, a plunger on said tube in said cylinder, a valve chamber detachably associated with the upper end of said cylinder and connected with said tube, a rotatable valve therein, a compressible disc below said valve in said chamber, passages through said valve, said disc and said chamber connecting with said tube, and a dispensing spout engageable in said passage to rotate said valve to bring said passages into or out of registration.
